We had our first ever consultation with a Reproductive Specialist. Not the news we wanted to hear. At first the Doctor said we can try IUI but after discovering we had tried 5 medicated cycles with Clomid and been using home insemination the last 5 cycles, his suggestion was to not waste money on IUIs and jump straight into IVF. I was hoping we did not have to go down either of these paths. Now, I do not know what to do. This cycle we can't start anything since I just started. He said we could still try IUIs if that is something we want to attempt but he was not hopeful of that.
At a crossroads and not sure if we should go left or right.

The hubs and I have a plan. We decided to take the IUI route for atleast 3 cycles. We also decided to wait till January for the first IUI. I was raring to go for my December cycle but decided that with the holidays and needing to save up money, it would be best to wait. Plus, I am still hoping for a miracle and that we can get pregnant naturally between now and the January cycle. Also. It gives me time to get some weight off me. I think knowing there is a plan and path for us makes me feel a little more relaxed. I actually feel peaceful about it.

I know you said clomid didn't help, for me I started taking Inositol on the advise of my doctor. We had been trying for years and never got pregnant. The first month I took it I got pregnant. I suffered a few losses because of other issues, but in all I got pregnant 3 times in 6 months on the inositol.
I thought I'd mention since its over the counter, no side effects, and you're waiting to try the IUI.
