My Fertility Specialists put me on Birth Control before HSG test - Help!
Hey Ladies, I rarely ever ask questions on here, but this time I feel like I need some additional support. My hubby and I have been TTC kid #2 for over 2 years. We finally made the step in December to see a fertility specialist. They have me scheduled for a HSG procedure on February 5th to make sure my tubes aren't blocked. He also put me on birth control, I've been taking it ever since January 9th. The birth control is most defiantly messing with my hormones (or correcting them) because I have loads of depression and emotions that I never had before. (FYI I hated taking birth control because of this reason). That being said, I will be on birth control for a whole entire month +a few days before this test is done. Has anyone had any success being on birth control for a short time and/or having this procedure done and actually conceiving afterwards? Thanks in advance, this momma just needs some reassurance.. I'm losing my nerve because Its a whole cycle being wasted..

Did they say why they put you on BC? That's a little odd to have to do that when BC has nothing to do with. Locked tubes?!?
I had an HSG test done on CD 4 of this cycle. My doctor told me he does them towards the end of your AF due to making sure your not pregnant, so it doesnt wash out the lil one.
