OPK Help?

Hey Everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster here.

This is our 2nd cycle TTC and our first using OPK’s. I know that temping is the best way to pinpoint and confirm O, but it’s not something I’m doing quite yet.

The top test is CD 12 of a regular 27-28 day cycle, and at the time I thought it was positive. Looking back now I don’t think it is? Tests were taken starting from top to bottom CD 12-15, and are getting lighter.

Did I miss my surge? I’m thinking I started taking them too late in my cycle. Opinions? And if you use OPK’s what cycle day do you begin testing?

The top one is a really close to positive, try starting on cd 10 next time if u dont get pregnant this time

Also some people have quick surges, what time of day are you testing? Are you only testing once a day?
When Im close to O I test multiple times a day.

Thanks ladies!

I only tested once a day in the evening at 6pm when I got home from work. I’ve read that FMU isn’t the best for OPK’s, and I didn’t really wanna test in the bathroom at work mid day lol.

I will start testing earlier and more frequently next cycle. We have been so busy lately and my fertile window snuck up on us this time.

So going off of the information I do have, what would be the best guesstimate of O day and DPO? I realize this is just a guess, but I’d like something to go by ya know?

It depends on how quick your surge was and also O is between 12 and 36 hours after a positive OPK. If your surge was short and an OPK would have been positive earlier on 12 DPO then 12 to 36 hours after that. If it was a longer surge and happened the day before then 12 to 36 hours after that. You can only really guesstimate now.
