Faint positives followed by negatives?

Has anyone had faint positives followed by negatives?

What was the outcome?

I haven't had my period return since my last baby, 19 months old. We are doing the deed randomly and I have no idea of ovulation.
I tested with an internet cheapie a fortnight ago and it was positive.

I did another test a few days later and it was negative.

I tested a wk ago with a first response and got a faint positive (photo attached). I tested once since with a negative and again this morning with fmu and another negative. How confusing!

Any ideas?

This happened to me last cycle and I was told it was a chemical pregnancy .

I've seen this too many times myself and it always ends in a chemical. Faint positives that doesn't get stronger and followed by negative - then af shows up.
