Day 21 bloods.

Morning lovely ladies,

For those of you that know me, you know I've taken a break for the last 4 months from TTC. and in this time I've been having a lot of break through bleeding a week before AF which some lovely women on CTP advised might indicate low progesterone, so I have been to the doctors and I have my first ever day 21 bloods today - I am so nervous! I know it's so silly but I don't want there to be an issue but at the same time I DO want their to be so that I have an answer for all the weird things that have been going on and maybe a reason for my miscarriage.

I have some questions for any of you ladies who have done day 21 bloods before (sorry , totally annoying I know)

1. Will I have to get day 21 bloods done many more times before they regulate my progesterone?
2. How long after they discover an issue before my levels will be back to normal?
3. Will I always have high risk pregnancies if there is an issue?
4. If the levels are low, do you think they'll hold of treatment another month to make sure they're low again next month ? (hope not ) :(

Thanks so much for any help you ladies can offer. I appreciate you guys SO much.

Love and baby dust.
Emily x

This is only my experience.. :) 1. No, not in my experience. 2. Typically they will just prescribe you progesterone to use during your LP which will boost your levels adequately and get them to a "normal" range. 3. Every pregnancy is different so it is hard to say. My guess is they will always supplement you with progesterone during the first tri. But be assured this is fairly common and I doubt your MD would classify you as high risk. 4. They may hold off treatment just because you are mid-way through your LP this month and have you start it next month right after you ovulate. It's possible they will test you during your LP once you're on the progesterone to make sure it has upped it enough and once you do become pregnant I would think they would test you again to make sure your levels are high enough for baby. If they don't... I would insist on it! Best of luck!!! :) :)

Thank you so much! Do you know that if its left untreated can it cause more issues ?

I honestly don't know? I mean, obviously it can continue to cause the bleeding mid-LP that you're having now and it would certainly up the miscarriage risk once you're pregnant. But I am not sure if it can cause additional problems. Nothing that I have ever heard of!
