Question

Clearblue digital opk tests - false positive with blue dye smear?

I did a Clearblue digital opk with fmu when i thought i should be ovulating and got a smiley. When i pulled the stick out though, the blue dye was all smeared across the window. I tested again at 3pm and was negative. Was it a false positive?

I had used the clear blue digitals and they always matched up with the bloodwork and were accurate. I did find that when they were positive it did look like the blue was smeared accords the window. The second time you tested your surge may have been over.

The same thing happened to me. I got a smiley face in the morning. I tested again that afternoon and got a negative result. The strip on the positive looked smeared compared to all the negatives.
Two days later I had "stabbing" pains in what felt like was my cervix.
