My Dr said my amh is.3 not we even a 1.meaning I have eggs but one in a 100 might be good. She recommends doing embryo donation. It is where couples whom have gone through ivf and have extra embryo s they do not plan to use, then donate to you. You don't have the same cost as ivf, since you don't use drugs, you pay for a lawyer who does a exchange of property not adoption again cheaper. You pay to have the embryo transferred to your doctor and then they insert it like ivf. As a single mom teacher this might be the only way to pay for ivf.
The hard part is finding someone who picks a single mom not a couple....it's hard.

@margie-I am so sorry AF made her appearance. Do not feel bad about that chocolate bar. You deserve it. Every time AF showed for me, i would have a nice BIG glass of wine. We do what we gotta do. Today is a new day and i hope you are feeling a little more refreshed. I so hope you are pregnant by then also. I remember settign deadlines for myself and i used to think it was a bad thing, but now that i am pregnant, it's fun to think about. For me, and this is silly, i would use my 6 month dentist appointments as my deadlines....i would tell myself...next time i come here, i will be pregnant. My first dentist appointment since being pregnant is coming up and it makes me excited to think we made it.

@texas- I too have a low AMH which is why my doctor wanted us banking a couple IVF rounds, but it just was not financially feasible to us. We did one round and ended up getting four embryos. Transferred two, one took. So we have two left...the thought that those maybe our only ones is scary. I do not know a ton about embryo adoption. I have done some reading on it and i think its a very cool option to have. I am excited to hear about this journey, if you do go down that road.

@tubal-Congrats on your pregnancy! So exciting, you are almost there! Do you have a name picked for the little man??

@red-Oh my goodness, i cannot believe you are already 8 weeks!! That flew! Well, for us, not for you i am sure. The first trimester went by so slow for me . I am so excited that you get to find out so early what you are having!! Do you have a preference? I always thought i wanted a girl first, and i think i still do, but if its a boy, it would be the first boy on my husband's side so that would be really fun too! I finally caved and took medicine for my morning sickness. I just couldnt do it anymore and its made a HUGE difference. How have you been feeling??

@TTC-Excited for your BFP!!! I so hope that happens on Friday...perfect Father's Day gift!!!

@basia-That is exactly how my ivf round went...i had LOTS of follicles, but they sure took a while to mature. Maybe that is a good sign!! It also allowed for me to not feel uncomfortable throughout the entire process. I think that makes a big difference. I really felt fine up until i triggered, and then i got uncomfortable. When is your estimated retrieval and transfer date?

AFM- Like i mentioned above, i finally caved and took some medicine for my morning sickness. It has made a world of difference. I honestlly haven't felt so good in so long. I am loving it. I may have already told you ladies this now that i am typing it out....seriously, pregnancy brain is real :)

LS - nobody is mentioning retrieval date or transfer date yet. I assume retrieval will happen somewhere at the beginning of next week.

@tubal - i have been looking into embryo adoption. I have looked at Night Light and at NEDC. You might check out those places. We are looking not to donate, but to potentially receive. However, for now we are thinking me may try IVF... we have an appointment next Friday with a new doctor.

LS - I think it's a boy. I used to always say I only wanted boys but when we started trying all I thought about was girls. After I read the Spirit Babies book I started thinking about having boys again and now it just feels that is what we're having. The time has gone slow but only because we're still holding the secret. Close friends know but we'll tell the family this weekend. As far as sickness, most of mine is in the middle of afternoon or evening. I noticed today when I get anxious/stressed out at work, I feel like I'm going to be sick. One girl caught on and asked if I was pregnant. Everyone else just asks if I'm okay. As for food, my diet used to be fish and veggies and now I can't stand either. I had chicken for first time in about a year yesterday and it was sooo good! Fruit is also my savior. The other hard part is staying hydrated. When I feel sick I don't want anything in my mouth or stomach so I'll go too long without drinking and I make it worse. So still trying to learn what to do and just glad is not as bad as I've heard it can be.

Red and LS: I am so excited for both of you! So glad that things are progressing well and that you have had a healthy first trimester. Red, do you have a fun reveal planned for the family? LS, are you doing a gender reveal?

Basia: Are you follicles developing slower than last time? Are your meds the same?

TTC: Does your clinic routinely check progrestrone after IUI or IVF? My doctor hasn't mentioned any post insemination checks, just testing 14 days later. Wondering if this is something I could ask about.

Margie: The last time AF showed, I had a giant meltdown. I think it's a combination of all the hormones and just wanting this so badly. I am a very optimistic person overalls and my husband tries to keep me grounded but every cycle I am sure it's going to work and then I will as thought my world has been crushed. Our time will come!

Texas: I am not familiar with donor embryos but am thankful there are so many options out there!

While: Good luck with your new doctor!

AFM: Exciting news, I got the green light to move to IVF! My head is spinning with excitement and questions! Within the next week, I will go in for an ultrasound to see if my cysts are gone. Praying this all works out and that I can move right into the cycle when AF shows in around 10 days. We have already decided we will do transfer 2 embryos and will consent to ICSI and AH if needed. They are both additional costs, but thankfully my insurance covers a portion so we are hoping when it's all said and done, our total out of pocket isn't too high. I will know more in the next few days and these next few weeks will surely be busy.
