Progesterone test

I got my positive opk this past Saturday and ovulated Sunday night after I went to sleep. Doctor told me to have my progesterone level checked next Monday. Is this too late? My lab is closed Sunday but I feel like Saturday would be more appropriate as I would be 6 dpo rather than 8dpo. Any suggestions?

8Dpo is ok, I would think. I had my progesterone levels drawn 8 days after my peak fertility on my CB digital opk.
