Trying to look at the positive side of a negative situation
I am no longer pregnant. Last night I had extremely bad cramps which woke me at 1am. I went to the bathroom and had begun spotting. After a trip to the emergency room, it was discovered that my hcg had returned to 0 and my pregnancy tests were negative. The doctor told me that since I was just under 5 weeks and my hcg had only been 52 last week, I would likely have what would seem like a normal period. I am very sad but am feeling much better than I was when I first heard the news. I am trying to look at the positive side- after almost four years with no birth control, I was pregnant. My husband's sperm met my egg and made it's way in. We may have had implantation problems, but this was further than we'd ever been able to get before, and that is worth something. Yes, it also sucks and is not fair and infuriating at the same time, but it's worth something. And that is what will get me through today.
