How early can you see a baby with an Ultrasound?

Tomorrow I will be 10 DPO and I have to get an ultrasound because I have been having such bad abdomen cramps and back pain. I am thinking I am pregnant but Dr said ultrasound to check for gallbladder issues. If I were pregnant how soon can you see the sac on the ultrasound??

As far as I know it needs to be about 5 to 6 weeks along for the pregnancy to be visible on an U/S, depending on the size of the person it can be seen trans abdominal. Larger patients would most likely need to have a trans vaginal U/S to see an early pregnancy. The heart beat won't be able to be seen on an U/S till about 7 weeks.
