Question

HPT lighter at 12dpo than 11dpo. Anyone had this happen and have a viable pregnancy?

Yesterday I got my very first ever faint positive on a First Response Early Result test. This morning I took another test and the line is much lighter. It's there only if you're looking for it and I am freaking out. I know it's early but I've never even had a positive before and I want so badly for this to be real. Last night I had to get up to go to the bathroom at 2am so this morning I barely had anything in there this morning and didn't feel like I had to go- could that have diluted the urine so there was less hcg? I know I'm grasping at straws here but it's too early to call my doctor and I don't know what else to do.

It's too early to tell anything. There could be so many things that effect it. If your urine was diluted, not enough hold, etc It takes a while for hcg to build. Quit testing for a couple of days and use fmu (or smu if you prefer, I usually do mine smu seems more concentrated) By then it should have enough hcg in it to be dark enough to see and you won't even have to question it. This is why people should not test early. It causes undue stress. GL!! **hugs**

I'm slightly (ok, hugely) biased when it comes to FRER. I used 'em with my last baby and they either went lighter or barely any progression at all. For me, they just suck! For u, I would make sure to keep all parameters the same for comparison purposes. Becuz my FMU sucks ass, and I cant control how concentrated it will be, I test with SMU. SMU with a 2hr hold, no fluid intake...every time! Once I ditched the FRER and used a different test (ok, like 5 diff tests), I saw progression and it was such a relief!!
I'm not trying to give u false hope if u think something may or may not be wrong, just letting u know that altho everyone raves about FRER, they arent great for everyone. Baby was fine and I will never buy them again!
Good luck! =))

I have never tested early before. I always wait until a missed period which is why I barely have used any pregnancy tests. I just felt different this month, (my nipples have been killing me and hot, and they are never involved in my TWW, I always have underarm pain), so I took a test early expecting a negative. I was in shock when it was positive. I have never been pregnant before and have been off birth control for almost 4 years, and we've been actively trying for the last year or so. The first day my line was faint but definite, today it's very faint but my mom and I can see it (hubby could not, but he's an idiot. I say that lovingly). I called my infertility doctor to see what he recommends (he told me to call if I got a positive anyways).

How are the tests today?

I decided not to test anymore. After the one from yesterday dried, it was the same color as the day before so I think I was being paranoid. My period is due tomorrow, I'm just hoping it stays away and I'm gonna try to take this one day at a time. In good news, my symptoms are still just as strong (except the boob pain, that is worse), and my bbt went way higher than it had been today (98.91. The highest it had been was 98.5). I'll have to just wait and see.
