Brown spotting on cd 8. Should I be concerned?

So my period is usually heavy for two days, then tapers off until day 5, then I get spotting until day 7. But during my last 2 cycles, my period stops and then I get brown spotting on cd 8. It is NOT O spotting- too early for that. It must be old blood from AF. But I am worried, because sources say an 8 day period is too long. Do I count that bit of spotting as a period day? Is it a concern?

TTC since June 2012. DH: 32 Me: 29 October 2012: DH diagnosed with varicocele and low morphology 1-2% to all!
