Question

PCOS and OPKs - reliable?

Ok so I have heard opks aren't that reliable with pcos as you generally have high levels of LH throughout your cycle, but since I was diagnosed I've lost half a stone and have been taking Metformin. I decided to test using OPKs just to see what was happening and the first 2 days I had a positive, but since then (12 days running) I've had a negative. Do you think my cycle might be getting back to normal? Or am I jumping the gun?

I also have PCOS and am on metformin which has been a miracle drug for me. It has definitely gotten my body back on track. I would keep using the OPK's. Good Luck and lots of Baby Dust to you. :-)

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15. I am currently on Clomid & Metformin to assist in TTC. I used OPK & got positives around day 14 and negatives any other time, I also tracked my CM & it was all consistent with me ovulating so I think the OPK was correct so just like jewlz said I would continue to use them! and best of luck to both of you ladies !!!
