Wow! This is exciting with these BFPs! We need an update essemkay!

@Cate - come on, BFP!

@Basia - so when is your retrieval?

AFM - Yes, we did talk to the doctor about doing mini-IVF. So he doesn't do mini-IVF but does low-stim IVF. But I'm wondering if most doctors try to do low-stim? Does anyone know? Just tailoring the meds to most people. He said that for a 30 year old female that 90% of the eggs aren't good and that statistically it takes 10-12 eggs to get a baby. Yikes!

IVF with this doctor (Ahlering) is $10K. I applied for a fertility grant so we will see if we get anywhere with that. We are going down on the 26th to get testing done, including the saline HSG for me, so maybe we will get some answers from that appointment.

In the meantime, we are just trying on our own. I don't know how long it will take us to raise the money, so I guess in the meantime we will just pray about it and try on our own and see what we feel peace about doing. I feel like I've been doing some barging ahead a bit and wait to take a bit of a step back. Still getting checked out and still applying for the grant, etc.... but maybe really trying to figure out what we want to do. I just wish we would get pregnant on our own.

I am still nervous about too many embryos etc... but the doctor doesn't seem to think that's a problem.

Anyway, that was really long, sorry guys. I am just kind of at like a crossroads I guess...(-:

Catemat - maybe it is too early for frer test. You will k ow soon. Fingers crossed for you.

It did not cost us extra to do icsi as it was covered by my insurance so I did not think twice about it.

Sorry I've been MiA for a few days... After AF showed on Thursday I was super depressed. Went in Friday morning and I have several large cysts left over so I'm on BC for a month, so not happy to sit a month out again but I know there isn't another option with cysts. We go in next Tuesday to talk about our next steps since this was IUI #3. I think I want to move to IVF but we will see next week. Maybe this will all work perfectly and I can just go straight from this BC to iVFwithout wasting too much time, I've already spoke to the IVF financial consultant from our clinic and know about what it will cost us. We will pretty much pay $5,000 to the clinic and then get some of that reimbursed through insursnce depending on max allowed amounts. I know in the grand scheme of things $5,000 for IVf is a steal... Just a big jump from $200 per IUI cycle. Sorry for the rambling.

Hoping for more good news from you ladies!! I will hang out here and support everyone from the sidelines this month :)

Kethryes - thoughts and prayers are with you today!

Essemkay - so sorry to hear your news :(

Sending many good vibes to everyone as we all could use them!

AFM - retrieval was Sunday and only retrieved 6 eggs and only 3 fertilized. I knew I would be sore from retrieval but something else had been going on from this. Major pain and hard to take deep breaths on right side. Blacked out 2x trying to make it to bathroom but luckily DH was with me. Went in for follow up yesterday to find out that it isn't OHSS and very little fluid in me, but they have never seen my symptoms in all their years doing this. Put me on major pain meds to help me relax as I hadn't slept in 2 days and finally feel a little better this morning. I have to get better or they will not transfer any embryos (if we have any). Ahhhh the wait!

BabyPath - my clinic actually warns about this side effect. I guess it is from gasses and anesthesia. It is rear but it should go away.
