Bama I couldn't agree more. I HATE the side effects. Bad headaches and super moody. Poor DH! Messed up my period last time too. Or at least that's what I'm blaming it on. It was dark in color and was pretty light. Then for a couple days after I kept having what looked like tissue with light spotting. Sorry way tmi I'm sure.

aculifer - I dont think there is anything TMI anymore especially with us!

scooby - I hate to hear the tests are getting lighter but you are right, getting pregnant is a possibility and that is half of the battle! And I agree about not having much to say. I wish I had more to update on, but it's the same old same old.

Glad to see some familiar faces here and glad in a way we can continue the journey together but sad as well.

So, after trying so long ladies, anything different you have or may start trying?

SMC I am so happy you came over! :) Good luck and lots of baby dust! Where are you in your cycle?

PBC, LOL I know right?!?! We all know each other very well! I didn't preggo symptoms until about 10-12 dpo or later both times, so maybe.

aculifer, glad you hopped over as well. Frustrated is a good word! LOL! Sigh! Sorry your hsg was so painful.. just remember it is all for a great cause. That is what I keep having to remind myself every single day. I am praying this cycle is the one for you. I did 8 months of Clomid, now am on Letrozole... if I can offer any advice I will! :) My husband would say "tell your dh not to eat all of the pudding in the house"... LOL I walked out of the house over tuna fish (which I never eat) and pudding! Ha! This is a very long and emotional roller coaster, but we will all get to the end!

aculifer, I am with PBC, no such thing as TMI in this group! :)

PBC, I still do the same regimen! Added a lot of Folic Acid, Metformin and now that I have O'ed Progesterone Suppositories. Lovely!

I was talking folic acid, drinking green tea, and selenium and a smattering of other herbs (royal jelly and something I can't remember at this moment). I stopped of all it last cycle and keep forgetting to start. Selenium, if anyone is curious, helps the antibodies attacking my thyroid BUT I believe it also is useful for implantation. I think its the same thing in pineapple core and brazil nuts, which are both recommended to aid in implantation.

I hope I'm welcome here. I've been on this forum since May 2012 and I know all of you. I know I don't post much but I read everything (except when I get discouraged with ttc).

One question I'd like to ask is how do you ladies deal with the emotional effects on your marriage/relationship. Each month that I get my period I can tell that its hurting DH. This ttc thing is taking a toll on both of us. I just never imagined it would take more than a couple months. The worse part is that all our tests are normal so there's no reason why we can't get pregnant.

Sorry for the long post but sometimes I just need vent and DH gets emotional if I say anything.

On a happy note, I'm feeling really positive this month. Even though I O'd 3 days sooner than expected we were BD'ing regularly.

Aculifer - I know what you mean with the painful HSG. It felt like AF cramps to me. Afterwards I got an infection and my period came 3 days early.

I'm glad to read all your advice on clomid. My doctor suggested it earlier this year but I was trying to avoid it since I appear to ovulate on my own. However after 16 months and no pregnancy I'm ready to try it.

I have an appointment with a fertility specialist on Sep 6. I'm starting to consider an IUI but money will be an issue because we are now building a new house.

I must say they even though I don't say much I appreciate all of you and I feel like I know you. If I didn't have you ladies I think I'd be in therapy.

Carla- as far as strains on our relationships mine is one story to tell. We fight a lot more, he says I'm moody (hello hormones) and yesterday he asked if I was pmsing. Plus we don't have sex anymore. He feels too "stressed to perform" which is why this IUI was so mportant to me.

As far as IUI prices I know they vary but ours would have benn 400ish if insurance covered nothing, but that is without injectables. I'm lucky my hubby's insurance covers up to 8 lifetime attempt, but it looks like one just went out the window
