cd3 and yellow cm instead of bleeding

so, today was day 3 of what i thought was a new cycle. we have been ttc for 2 months, and my last cycle was 30 days, though i think i might still be adjusting from being off bc. last time my period was the standard 5 days im used to. this time, i had bleeding on day , halfway thru day 2 it stopped, and this morning i used a tampon planning on af coming back, but instead of blood there was a small amount of yellow cm on it. this happen to anyone else? and if so, is there a possibility we are not yet out this month?
