Need some input on which direction to take...
The end of another year is just around the corner and I have to make some decisions. The hubby wants to try a few more IUI's this year. I just don't think we have a really good chance. His semen analysis showed
Volume : 3.2
Concentration: 69 million/ml
Motility: 25 %
Progressive motility: 10%
Morphology: 3%
Do we have a shot or am I throwing money away! Some semen calculator I found online said there is only 662,000 normal motile sperm per ejaculate. If that is the case, there is no chance? Should we just move straight to IVF. I can get insurace to cover a majority of it here in arkansas. I'm just lost. Don't know what I need to do. Just need some insight and advice!

I think 662,000 normal shaped, motile sperm sounds good. I'm not sure what rating system they were using for your morph, but we were told 4% is good, so you're right there. If you BD 3 times around ovulation time, that's almost 2,000,000 good sperm taking aim at your egg. I also understand the frustration though. Our doctor told us that we shouldn't waste our money on IUI, but we have 0% morph. You're very lucky that IVF will be mostly covered in your state but I'm not going to tell you you should definitely do that. Have you tried Femera? Just talk to your husband about the pros and cons of everything and decide together. Sorry I'm not much help but I'm keeping fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Renae..... I'm just beyond done waiting, and the hubby just feels that we shouldn't have to pay thousands of dollars and something that should be so natural. But I'm willing to do it. Everyone that I've talked with on here in the last 3 years has gone on to have babies and some having second babies. I hate this, but I think we'll try at least 2 more IUI'S before we move on!
