Leveled Up!

Yesterday I was 5 weeks pregnant. This is not much of a milestone for most people, but my last pregnancy ended at 4 weeks 6 days. 5 weeks was a big sigh of relief for me.

On Monday I went to my Reproductive Endocrinologist appointment. Originally we were to discuss moving forward with IUI, but since I have managed to get pregnant, we discussed my test results. He said he was very pleased with the results so far and that my progesterone was really high for my stage of pregnancy, which is usually a good sign of a healthy pregnancy. He then released me to a regular OB and I made my first appointment for 4/14. This is also the day I am scheduled to have my first ultrasound, at approximately 7 weeks. I am so excited. I hope everything is where it is supposed to be and that I see a healthy baby heartbeat.

So far, my pregnancy symptoms have been minimal. My breasts are a little sore and a little swollen, which I have to say worries me. I wear a 32F bra and already have to buy them at certain stores or order online. I do NOT look forward to buying nursing bras when these puppies get bigger! I am starving after work and also exhausted starting at about noon. I can't sleep through the night and wake up super thirsty at like 2 completely awake and unable to go back to sleep. I have dry skin and I haven't had a normal bowel movement since I found out I was pregnant. But I couldn't be happier.

Scratch that. I could be happier. When I (fingers crossed!) get to hold my healthy baby in December.

I have been totally swigging this fiber-filled vegetable juice and eating a bunch of foods that are supposed to make you go (From an article 14 foods that will make you poop...lol) but so far no luck. I have been able to go off and on, it just takes FOREVER and with my job (teacher) I cannot spend all day in the bathroom. Congrats to those of you who have also gotten your bfp!

Dana - buy some prune juice - I don't like it but it definitely helps. As soon as I stop drinking it I get constipated next day.
