Glad to see FS

After an anxious wait I have finally been to see a fertilty specialist, and I am so glad I went. I was so nervous, didn't know what to expect and my GP had told me that FS would probably just "pat me on the head and tell me to keep at it" (cause am only 24 but been trying for 11 months) but FS was great.

not that I was pleased to hear the words IVF being thrown around the rooms but at least we have some direction now.

Seems DH has a low morphology(8%) which my FS says is the most important part of male fertilty, we are retesting and if morphology is worse he says we may need IVF.

Has anyone had any issues with morphology? Any success naturally? Or with IUI/IVF??

Hi there,

I'm 11 years older than you and considered of advanced maternal age :) LOL.. and after having a miscarriage and trying for more than 2 years I went to the FS. My husband too has morphology issues, only slightly. If you read online about it there is still a disagreement about how much of a factor it really plays. My FS didn't mention IVF though until my tubes were found to be useless so thats the route I am going. It seems with the IVF due to the morphology thing they are going to also use ICSI but remember I got pregnant before that with his morphology issues.

Wish you the best of luck!!!!
