How long are your cycles? Mine are close to 29 days and I ovulate around cd17 or 16. I get my first positive usually on cd 15, but mine are very sensitive. I also test with first morning urine and late afternoon when it gets close cause I don't want to miss it. Sometimes a surge only lasts 12 hours.
