Crazy bleeding, all dark brown and VERY mucousy looking. Confused.
So, hubby and I aren't trying to conceive right now, but we'd be thrilled to have a little one. Anyway, I started my period about a week and a half ago, several days before I expected it, and it was mostly dark brown, and very mucousy looking. I brushed it off, and now, beginning yesterday, I'm spotting. Still mostly dark brown and pink-ish. I'm cramping and tired, and my face is broken out like I'm back in Junior High. I've also started sobbing a couple times, for seemingly no reason at all. I'm very confused. I'd say I'm a couple days past my "expected" period. I've taken a couple pregnancy tests. One 4 days ago, and another 2 days ago. Both negative. Are my hormones just acting up? I'm very confused. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds a lot like what I went through last cycle. I had a chemical pregnancy, which is basically a very early miscarriage. That would explain the hormones. It probably happened at the time of the heavy, clotted spotting, and your body is almost done with it. The hormone levels are probably almost all out of your system now, and thats probably why you're getting negative tests. Sorry, I know exactly how much this sucks. Good luck.
