Basia_ does he think you have endometriosis? do you have painful and heavy periods? although i used to work in surgery and have seen many laparoscopies when i had mine for the ectopic it made me feel way worse than i thought i was going to feel and that was physically on top of the pain of losing my baby. if you don't have to do it don't, some doctors just like to cut or do something when it isn't always necessary. on the other hand if you have endometriosis or something going on an exploratory laparoscopy would allow them to resect the endometriosis which could be really helpful.

SMC - I do have super heavy and painful periods and they do think I might have endometriosis. When my period is here I take some major painkillers to ease the pain. 4 Advils is not enough for me. I get those pains for 2-3 days usually and then they go away. I also get a lot of random spotting during my luthal phase. Last cycle Dr gave me progesterone cream and the spotting was gone but also he said that it could be bc of endometriosis.

Sorry to hear Basia, but hopefully this will be a good solution, and hopefully it isn't too painful.
AFM... I didn't get a call from the clinic so I am assuming my estrogen levels came back the right amount for only one follicle. So I am just going to relax this cycle, probably temp til I know I O, and start next cycle with a higher dose of clomid.

Yesterday was my retrieval and out of 20 follicles they only got 14 eggs and only 6 were mature. This morning I got an update and it turns out 8 were actually mature and all eight fertilized! We did ISCI because were unexplained. Should I remain hopeful or is 8 too little? I'm 26, and the whole time I stimed the doctors were lowering my dose because they feared hyperstimulation even tho I only had 10 follies on each side. So I think so many were immature because of this. Has anyone had success with 8 fertilized at day 2?

8 is a good number. I wouldn't be worried.

basia_ then a laprasocopy does sound like the best option for you at this point. I hope it helps ease your periods and help you get pregnant.

ikash_ 8 is a great number!

AFM We are halfway done with our homestudy and we are working on our adoption profile! I am so excited to bring a baby home. there is so much paperwork and stuff to do, it is crazy but it is keeping me busy.

basia, the agency we are working with has an average wait time of 6-9 months after your homestudy is completed. but they often have birthmoms in labor that call and pick a family and the family has to go right to the hospital..wherever that may be. just in case that happens i have a few things to be hospital ready lol with diapers and bottles and formula and a few onesies and sleepers i got from my sister.
