Hi Lizhaley I hope everything is okay with you - long time no hear!

This cycle didn't work out for me - again. Now it is my 5th cycle on clomid and will be taking 100mg this month. Hopefully the increased dose does something good!

Hi! I know its been forever! Sorry about that! I have been really busy lately. Dh's schedule at work changes every few weeks And I have been getting ready for Thanksgiving thursday We are having a bunch of friends coming over and having tons of food. I am quite early this year but we started decorating for Christmas, I wanted it to look festive when all of our friends come over haha. Still no luck on my end. I quit using opks and testing every month to try and relax and not stress out as much. Its still upsetting every month when AF shows. I havent been to check on my cyst yet we are waiting until the beginning of the year for insurance reasons.

Sorry to hear that you havent had any luck either :[ I know it can be frustrating. What does your doctor say about the Clomid not working yet? I heard it they usually wont keep you on it long and they make you take breaks because it can get unhealthy? Not sure how true that is tho. I really hope this will be your cycle! How have you been doing?

Hi! How did your Thanksgiving thing go? We don't celebrate it in New Zealand but I have fond memories of being with friends in America for Thanksgiving.

I upped my clomid dose this cycle, took 100mg. I am having an amazing response so far! Excellent estradiol on Wednesday and I will probably ovulate today or tomorrow. I have been having LOTS of ovulation cramping throughout the past two days, and still have it today. I take this as a good sign things are happening! Next blood test on Friday.

I am thinking about giving up on OPKs as they have not been very successful these past few cycles. So far barely even a second line this cycle. If I don't get a positive today then I think they won't work for me. They were fine before I started on clomid!

Thanks! It went great! We had good food and a bunch of friends over it was very relaxing and took my mind off of ttc for a little while lol. We also got a bunch of snow! How have you been doing?

Thats good news about your clomid. Maybe you werent getting enough all along? The signs seem good at least! Hopefully it will do the trick and this will be the month for you! Im so excited for you, I hope you get some great results! Yeah opks can be so finicky I havent used them in a few month but I am debating doing it this month. Af just ended for me and my projected o day is the 14th...af is supposed to show again on the 28th. What a great Christmas present it would be for both of us if we are able to get bfps this month :]

Hi! Did you ovulate as expected the other day?

I am 10dpo. Had fantastic progesterone at 4dpo. Temperature is really high today, but I am sick with a mild cold so could be because I didn't sleep well. My period is due on christmas day!!! I am not happy abotu that at all. If I get a positive instead of course I will be very happy, but if not that is going to be a horrible day emotionally.

That all sounds really positive!! I really hope the temp is a sign of implantation and not your cold. It sounds like you have a good shot to me! fingers crossed for you!! What great Christmas news that would be!

Af is due for me on the 28th. I only used the opk once this cycle so im not sure when I o-ed. I feel kinda crampy in my uterus this month idk if thats good or is maybe I still have that cyst and that ovary tried to o but failed. No idea but im trying to stay positive!

Once again a great cycle, but looks like no success :( Spotting started yesterday and my temperature is down this morning. We are doing everything we can and it still doesn't work!!! i knew when I would ovulate, and we had sex on 3 out of the four most fertile days. I know I ovulated well, had amazing progesterone. There is nothing more we can do. And I am worried this clomid and all its risks was all for nothing.

Sorry to hear about your missed cycle. I was really hopeful for this cycle as well, I even has a little spotting but no bfp. I know how frustrating it can be to be doing everything right and miss every single time. Every time af shows up my stomach drops..I just get so disappointed. I get over then the process repeats itself the next time af shows. It gets very monotonous. How are you feeling now? Is this cycle looking promising?

Well tomorrow is my hsg dye test and Im beyond nervous. When I think about someone putting a clamp on my cervix and shooting dye through I start to feel like im going to be sick. Then Thursday I have my other test which is the same thing but with a camera. Its going to be a long few days haha. Today is CD 8 so that means my second tet on Thursday will be CD 11 and I have to abstain for at least 24 hours so by then it will O time. Hopefully I wont be to sore to miss it.

It's nice to hear from you!! I hope the HSG goes well! i actually just got back from a fertility specialist appointment. it was great!!! This time was a different doctor to my first one and I didn't like the first one. He was not at all sympathetic and didn't really talk much. I was quite happy to make the appointment with a different doctor. And we loved her! She talked through everything, answered all my questions, reassured me heaps. So, some of the things that came out of today: I have three more cycles on the clomid and if I am not pregnant then I go for IVF. She also wants me to get an HSG done. I am not supposed to do clomid that cycle though so I might leave that till after the next three cycles and do it while I am on the IVF waiting list. Hopefully I don't get that far! She also talked about doing a laproscopy but thought that might not be necessary as it is very invasive and I would need a week off work for it. Apparently most of what they would see on that is bypassed by doing IVF anyway.

This cycle is not looking great. My estradiol level at CD13 wasn't all that good even on 100mg clomid. I don't know when I will ovulate, but probably not for another few days. But as long as I ovulate there is a chance of pregnancy!

As for how I am feeling...I have been so unhappy. It got so bad that I have been avoiding being around other people and a couple of my friends got worried about me enough to tell me they were worried, and I hadn't even said how I was feeling! Well after talking to my specialist about it (and starting to cry then and there!!!) she said that it was perfectly normal for people in my situation to feel like this. I inquired tentatively about counselling and she said that if I was thinking about it then I needed it. Apparently they have a free counselling service! So I will make an appointment. I think I basically need to vent to someone. I do that here a bit, but I think talking in person would help as well.

i really hope your HSG isn't as bad as you are thinking! And hopefully you will not miss your ovulation time. :)

Thats good to hear that you get to try a new doctor. I think its very important that you like your doctor and that they are at least somewhat compassionate. If you have a good relationship with your doctor it makes all the difference and even helps you relax. I also think that the counseling is a good idea. I think it will help clear and ease your mind. You havent had an hsg yet? Im really surprised by that. Here they wont even let you start any kind of fertility pills until after you have had one. Not only does it rule out blocked tubes (which would make taking fertility meds useless) it can also make sure that your uterus isnt in an abnormal shape. It can also find scarring or fibroids or anything like that. I def think you should get one done. Im excited for you tho that you are on your way to getting your bfp :]

I had my hsg today. It was so much better than I expected. Everything that I have read and from talking to people they all have said it is crazy painful. But for me it was relatively painless. There was a little pinch when they put the catheter in but I couldnt even tell when he injected the dye. When I sat up afterwards there was some minor cramps but no where even near what af cramps feel like. I'm still a little crampy but they are very very light cramps. I am so happy that I finally went through with it, the minor discomfort was def worth it. It barely took five minutes from the time i laid on the table to the time we were done. The doctor told me that my tubes looked clear and that my uterus is in a good shape. I know i have some scarring and a fibroid but they will most likely be delt with Thursday when I go back for my second test. Also he said that having the hsg boosts your fertility for the following three months because your tubes are wide open. I feel much more positive now than I did this time yesterday :]
