Accuracy

For pregnant women, this brand starts to give positive results for more than 80% by 12 days past ovulation. This means that at least 4 out of 5 pregnant women will get a positive result on 12 dpo or later.

Readability

By 11 days past ovulation this brand gives a 'standard' test result. Which means the test result is easily distinguished as a positive result (usually nearly as dark or as dark as the control line)

Evaporation lines

Of all tests recorded using this brand, 1.3% were reported as evaporation lines. This mean around 1 in every 77 test results was an evaporation line. This is considered medium risk.

Only pregnancy test results reported by pregnant women are included. Therefore any negative results are false negatives.

A false negative result is when a pregnancy test indicates that you are not pregnant but you actually are. False negatives usually occur because there is not enough hCG in your system to be picked up by the pregnancy test. This can be caused by the test being taken too early, test sensitivity, diluted urine or failure to follow test instructions. To avoid inaccurate results you should try to wait as long as possible before testing.

I like Clearblue early detection with the pink dye because I saw a clear line at 12 dpo. I’m not a fan of the blue dye tests unless testing after missed period.

Me nor any of my friends have ever had a problem with clear blue any of them . I trust them .and recently recommend the test to a friend and it's said she was pregnant and now she's 10 weeks. Had another very close friend try clear blue and it was negative the test never gave us any problems .

Got a false positive with a faint blue line- confirmed negative with bloodwork and negative FRER. Not worth taking unless 12-14dpo and expecting a strong positive. Faint positives and eval look too similar.
