Will it ever happen?

My period should be in three days. The soreness has let up. I now just get a few cramps, along with a little brown discharge (its mostly just when I wipe). Hoping this is not a sign of my period! I want to take a test just to see, but my husband says no for me to wait. I can't help but wonder if God thinks its time for me to be a mother! So very discouraging. I am do everything that I am told to do.
Just got a phone call from my doctor to let me know all of my bloodwork came back fine. So we don't know what the hold up is.
