Trying after a loss

I’m about 2 weeks into a loss..
Numbers are creeping down slowly... 294 last Friday, 295 Monday... 265 Thursday (yesterday).
I’m still showing positive pregnancy tests, obviously.. but they’ve confirmed there is no baby in there anymore.
I stopped bleeding/spotting 2 days ago.
Hubby and I BD today... my question is..
Can you get pregnant even before your numbers are down to non-pregnancy numbers? Does that affect anything??
I’ve never tried after a loss so I don’t know what to expect.
TIA

From what I researched, your hcg needs to be at 5 or below. But I read conflicting things on that also. Once I took my last pregnancy barely showing a line then my cycle started to jumpstart my hcg was 6 that day. Think I ovulated a week and a half after that. I got pregnant from that ovulation. So, from my understanding your numbers need to go down first because your body won't ovulate if it thinks you are pregnant. Sorry for your loss and I know how much it sucks waiting for your body to go back when you're ready to try again. Hang in there
