Hello ladies! I didn't mean to stay away so long, but school started this week and things are always a little crazy at the beginning of the year! I have spent the last two weeks administering Kindergarten Screening and preparing my classroom. After the first 3 days of school I slept 12 hours last night!

I.had my post IVF Consult and we decided we will try again in late Sert/Oct depending on my cycle. I learned a lot for our first round and I will change my mental approach. My doctor assured me that there was nothing I did or did not do that caused my Chemcial Pregnancy. With that being said, I am trying to keep my stress lower by not testing. My RE said that while some tests will show a progression, it cannot be relied on. I have decided that taking the tests did not make me feel any better, if anything they made me stress out more. I may take one the day of my Beta next time but I am really going to try and be patient and wait for the blood tests.

We will not change the protocol since I responded well last time, stimulated pretty evenly and had 11 eggs. Depending on the number of eggs retrieved, we may to ICSI. Last time 6 out of 11 fertilized and 5 made it to D3. The fertilization was a little low despite my DH having strong numbers. The only other change would be considering transferring 3 eggs, depending on their quality and day if transfer. I am feeling good about this next round.

Jackie, it is so good you feel good for next ivf! Stay well dear!

Jackie - did you do acupuncture with your 1st Ivf? I think that made a major difference with my second Ivf and I would definitely recommend adding it asap - before you start ivf.
I found a person that worked with infertility so she really knew what she was doing.

Babypath, how are you doing? Are you still spotting? I think today is the ultrasound, Good luck dear, waiting for your good news!

TTC, your decision about staring IVF is great and I hope for the greatest success! Also the PGS test will make you feel less stressed as you would have increase the probabilities for a healthy baby. My clinic I think does the CGH-Array test.
I also hope you ll get the help from your DH's mom for covering part of the expenses.

Jeska, I hope the IUI works for you. I am so sorry it was painful.

babyangel, good luck for a natural conceive before your next IUI. I hope the cyst goes away quickly!

Shan and While, I am happy that your last ultrasounds were great! Keep going well!!!

Margie, Good luck! Waiting for the 10th of September for your news!

babypath, you are on 11th week, how nice dear! My best wishes for the rest!

AFM, I just came back from vacation. It was nice and relaxing, something I needed so much! Things with IVF are going so slowly... as my appointment is on 28th of September. I am little dissapointed!!! I know that it would be embarrassing, but I just want to call them crying that I cant stand any other delay, and my TTC issue has lasted too long due to doctors' omissions and delays.

Good morning ladies,

Kethryes - I'm glad the vacation helped. I know mine certainly did. I'm hoping the next month will pass quickly until your appointment. I know how frustrating it is to wait.

Basia - How are you doing?

Jackie - I'm glad to see you back. I'm hoping your second round will go better. Are you doing acupuncture? I find it really helps with my stress levels if nothing else. I hope the next month goes by quickly.

BabyPath - Will you have your U/S today?

AFM - Well my temps did it again. they gave me a coverline and CTP is telling my I O'd on Friday instead of Tuesday. I'm still going to go with Tuesday since it's when my temps started rising. Sometimes I think it would be better for me to not temp right now. for all of the confusion it causes. Oh well only a week or so until I'll test. I may test on saturday morning but that so I can find out if I can drink saturday night.

Hey ladies! Glad to see everyone is doing well and preparing for the next rounds, hope we see some BFPs soon!!

AFM- we have an ultrasound today- this will be the first time I'm meeting our OBGYN but I've heard great things about him and he delivered a couple of my friends' kids. Hoping we can see a little more of the gummy bear than the blob we've been getting!

Will update later :) Appt is at 1:30pm EST.

TTC - I'm sorry your RE won't do anymore IUIs. I hope you and DH can come up with a plan you're both ok with.

Margie - Glad your cramps are gone!

Jackie - Glad to hear that you met with your RE and had a chat about your next IVF cycle. Sounds like you have a great outlook on your next cycle. Hopefully school keeps you busy until the start of your next cycle. Praying for you!

Chaffins - Good luck with your ultrasound & meeting your OB--you will notice a big difference in the way your baby looks!

Kethryes - Sorry you have to wait until the end of September, but now it is less than a month away! If you decide not to call, hopefully it'll go by quickly!

I had an ultrasound and my last appointment at my clinic on Thursday. I cried the whole time haha. I really didn't want to say goodbye, but it was really special. Our baby actually looked like a baby this time which was crazy. It's legs were crossed and its hand was on its cheek--pretty cute. It was measuring 4.3cm, so right on track for 11+1 weeks. Praying for you all you girls everyday!

Cate - It's heard to believe you're 11 weeks already. That amazing. I'm glad your LO looked good at you last U/S. I can only imagine how I'm going to feel when I finish at my RE clinic.

Chaffins - Good luck at your U/S. I can't wait to hear you update.

Hi ladies. I have been AWFUL at checking in as life has just been so crazy. I never thought my dog could consume my thoughts as much as he is. I though IVF was the hardest thing I have ever gone through, but this is trumping that. My mind has just not been here. I am trying to focus more on my pregnancy as i know it's not healthy to be as stressed as I am. My mom and DH tell me daily i can't stress.

I had my 25 week check up last Thursday and baby girl is doing great though. I have decided i have pelvic girdle pain (you can look it up, so much fun) and my doctor did not disagree. He put in a referral for prenatal massages which will be covered by insurance. I am going to need those. I never in my life wished that my pregnancy would slow down! I just want to have a little more time getting things ready and figuring out my dog's life. Three months is going to fly by way too fast!

@Jackie- I strongly agree with Basia about accupunture. I wanted her to do it so badly. I truly believe it made every difference in me becoming pregnant. My guy also worked in fertility and was amazing. Seriously, your insurance will most likely cover it and if anything, it was SOOOO relaxing. Even if its not covered, i looked at it as, we are already paying so much for IVF, we might as well do everything we can to boost our chances.

sorry ladies, i cannot respond to everyone. I really hope everyone is doing well, and i am thinking about you all the time. Part of the reason i stress out is because i havent been able to stay connect with any of you!

@LS - I'm sorry things have been so stressful for you. Hopefully those massages will help!! Your DH and mom are looking out for you. (-:

@Cate - wow 11 weeks - that's awesome, lady! You are getting close to second trimester!!!

@chaffins - looking forward to hearing about your ultrasound and appointment!

@Jackie - that's exciting- I hope this one sticks!!!!! When will you know your dates?

@Basia - how are you feeling?

@MargieM - I hope you guys caught the egg, too! Did you BD at home as well?

@TTC - I'm sorry this has been so frustrating for you - when will you know if your numbers still let you be a candidate for IVF?

Anyone testing this week?

AFM - I am 9w5d today. I was able to pick up the heartbeat with my home doppler this morning, so that's encouraging. I go back to my RE on Thursday, and that will put me at 10w1d. Eek!

~K
