Welcome! We are a group of women who have come together to support each other throughout our cycles. We are thrilled to welcome newcomers to the group! Please introduce yourselves and let us know how long you've been TTC and a bit about your background.

No drop-in BFPs or BFNs please! We like to support each other and provide a loving environment for our fellow girls, many of whom are having lots of trouble.

beyond your date night sounds amazing! I'm so glad it worked out that way for you. The TTC Gods gave you a night off when you most needed it ;) And WOW girl that is one heck of a Thanksgiving. I would need a Xanax to get through all that, LOL. I say order that turkey and get a premade pie and whatever else you need to do to stay sane!

lawbride mmmmm pumpkin cheesecake! That sounds like a nice low-maintenance meal though. Just normal foods plus a treat. Awesome! Does he watch football all day?

AFM 6 DPO and last night was a bit weird for me...I got really bad chills yesterday evening (like I was shaking HARD, shivering so bad), and I was cold when I woke up at night to go to the bathroom, could not get warm again. Then when I woke up to get my temp I was back to normal and my temps were normal too. I'm having very mild cramps. It would be awesome if I implanted but I guess we'll see by the end of the week! Happy Sunday to everyone!

Luv--nope. he doesn't watch any sports and thank goodness because I'd blow a gasket if he did. So, I'm making him homemade tortilla chips with homemade spinach and artichoke dip, ancho-honey pork roast, mashed potatoes with cheddar cheese that has bacon pieces in it, and a pumpkin cheesecake. I tried offering some sort of vegetable and he said "spinach and artichoke dip" is vegetable enough. ::shaking my head:: That man is too much for me sometimes. SO hoping you implanted! That would be awesome. Praying for you!

lawbride OMG. I LOVE spinach and artichoke dip with tortilla chips. Your husband has excellent taste! It's sort of a vegetable...kind of...maybe... :-P

I got the results from my beta. They were drawn at 10dpo and it was at 42, he wants me to go back tomorrow and he'll call Tuesday with the results.

luv--bahaha. If that's what he wants that's what I'll make but sheesh...he needs some vegetables in his life.

Hello Everyone,

Wow - all of your talk about Thanksgiving has got me so jealous. There is no Thanksgiving in the UK and my family celebrated theirs last month (in Canada Thanksgiving is in October). They don't even eat turkey here. If I want a turkey for Christmas I have to special order it from the grocery store. It costs a fortune and it is not worth it for two people. I want to travel for Christmas but dh doesn't want to spend the money. It is more frustrating because I am the main breadwinner for our family and I want a holiday! We might just spend a weekend in London instead. Who knows. It will be hard to be so far from family though.

Last night DH and I went back to the hospital for his arm, as it just isn't getting better. Diagnosed with tenosynovitis (inflammation of the tendon sheaths in his right forearm). It was gross - when I examined his arm I could feel the tendon sheaths - it is so hard to explain. When he would more his hand you could feel it under your fingers, like a crinkly plastic band. Grosses me out - reminded me why I never wanted to work in the ER. Anyways, in the UK they do not have doctors in the minor injury ward, so we have to wait to register him with a gp. I'm so mad he did not register months ago when I did. They will give him some cortisone shots and possibly a splint or some physio. In the meanwhile he is off work and being a major pain in the butt. We have been fighting on and off the whole weekend.

On a positive note, I ate chocolate chip brioche this morning with my tea. DH picked it up in France. Mmmm

I hope you are all enjoying a lovely relaxing weekend!

rbk--I've never had brioche but I've seen recipes for brioche French toast. I'm assuming it's yummy. I love traveling and really want to live in Italy someday but DH isn't having it. :(

hey ladies hope everyone is doing well this morning. I am currently 2dpo and not feeling very into anything at the moment...lol oh well I would love to do a nice easy thanksgiving this year but that is not going to happen. My sister is actually hosting thanksgiving and thats the holiday we always spend with my family. My mom used to cook every holiday meal and we would all go there but starting last year we started to split them up. Now My sister does thanksgiving my brother and his wife to be do christmas and i do easter. the only dinners my mom does now is the one for everyones birthdays. but i will be up early for breakfast at the club in town all the money raised there goes to our local football program so its a tradition we go and i have been since i was 9. then i will be going to my sisters to help with all the cooking and cleaning before everyone gets there. I love the holidays and love spending the time with my family. It just seems like its coming to an end soon. My parents are moving in a few years from up here in Mass to Tennessee when they retire. so we try to enjoy as much time as we can together now...

law: your dinner plans delicous though.. Can say i never have had spinach and artichoke dip. i am always afraid to try anything i havent already tried...go figure. But i agree unless im forcing vegtables down my DH's throat its hard to get him to eat them. they really need to learn how to properly eat!! if i left it up to him he would only eat meat and rice everyday...lol

luv: i hoping it was just an implantation dip for you and things will skyrocket right back up!! i know my Dr. told me the most common day for implantation is around day 5/6 so its right at that point for you and the cramping sound good too!! FX you will have great news really soon!!

beyond: that sounds like a great night for you and DH!! i think every couple needs some quality out time together once and awhile. It really does help your relationship to get be together just focused on you two!! I can say right after a nice vacation away or a night out i always feel like we come home on this high!! dont get me wrong dh and i are great barely any fighting except the occasional one in the grocery store line...lol but we are always more focused on one another after a great night and more in-tune. its great to just forget everything and just enjoy each other and it sounds like you got a great and rare opportunity. its a little easier for DH and i seeing we have no children running around here.. just the dogs which in a way are our children!!

RBK: you would be surprised about what the muscles and tendons can do. i am a massage therapist a couple days a week as well and i have felt some crazy things in the muscle bellys!! But good for you getting yourself set. I think if i didnt call and register my dh for things he would never get anything done. Guess now your will be paying for it until he can get in now!! hopefully it will be soon though so you wont have to hear his belly-aching...lol . I think the weirdest thing i have ever felt is when a client came in and had his tendon disconnect from its connection point to the bone. the muscle completely rolled right up in the arm and it looked like he had a baseball under his skin. i sent him down to the er...He was supposed to come in for a sports massage and thought it was just a swollen muscle...lol men geez!

amag--have you ever had creamed spinach? do you like cheese? artichokes? spinach? If so, to any/all of the above then you'll probably like it. IT sounds like you're quite close with your family--that's incredible. That's one thing I wish I had!
