Hi ladies,
@lulu82, thanx for the info about imo, do you know if you sould take clomid before using the kit? Also, sorry for my ignorance, what is an pre-art conference? Iwish you the best with ivf!
@basia, it is interesting that there are seminars for ivf support! I wish we could find also here, but never heard of it.
#essemkay, i hope you feel better now,
@whileimwaiting good luck with the semen analysis.
@texasgirl, i just finished a 5 days of 100 mg/day clomid and i had some side effects such as sleepiness, nausea and loss of appetite. Now i have cramps, which is normal as i am ready to ovulate (the scan showed 3-4 matured follicles). I hope clomid will work for you with the less possible side effects!
Afm, i had my scan on friday and the next one is on monday. Our plan is to check when iui will be performed, but we were suggested to intercourse during weekend, which unfortunately was painfull due to the dryness caused by the clomid!

@Basia - so how many ultrasounds do you do per cycle? I was thinking the IUI ultrasounds started later in the cycle?

Tomorrow's the big day for DH. (-; We had big insurance freak out on Friday - they said we weren't covered at all. Apparently the broker is like behind on renewing policies or something. So, hopefully it will be sorted out by tomorrow. Yikes.

I think knowing an IUI is coming is making things a little tougher emotionally. Like making me think about it more, etc. ugh!

While - I do a lot of ultrasounds BC I am on different kind of drugs. I do follistim injections to stimulate ovaries. Before I do injections they check for possible cysts, etc. Then I take injections for few days and go for another ultrasound - in 5 days - on Saturday. After that I usually go every other day till they tell me to inject myself with ovidrell - trigger shot. Then 2 days later I go for IUI. So yeahhhh in my case that I a lot of ultrasounds.
That does not happen with clomid. So don't worry.

@kethreyes - I guess if your dr. is willing to prescribe the Clomid for you to take in conjunction with the kit, it couldn't hurt, but it's not necessary.

ART stands for Assisted Reproductive Technology. My RE makes you have an appt. with her to discuss the IVF process, your particular protocol and you have to fill out a ton of consent forms and fill out other forms where you make fun decisions like, if there are frozen embryos, what you would like done with them if you die or get divorced, etc. The appt. also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

AFM, my appt is tomorrow so I'm excited to find out what my protocol will be and get a better idea of when we're going to get this show on the road. I figure egg retrieval will probably be middle or end of next month, just from looking at sample protocols online. I really hope this works. It took me forever to convince my husband to even try IVF. I was able to convince him to try 1 fresh cycle and if that doesn't work and there are no frozen embryos, then we're done so here's to hoping.

Is anyone getting ready to test or is everyone pretty much just at the beginning of their cycles?

Good luck, Lulu82! I've done IVF 3 times, so I'd be happy to answer any questions you have that aren't covered tomorrow. :)

I'm 11dpo. I got all excited because I've been nauseated off and on since yesterday ... but then remembered that I'm on antibiotics and it's likely from that.

I'll test on Tuesday. I've never gotten an early positive - probably because I drink so much water my urine is always so diluted.
