CD1 is weirdly exciting, I guess ifor me it's making a plan and feeling hopeful this may be THE cycle!

I've caught this horrible cold thats been going around. Im off work sick today and just feeling really terrible. I have my Dr. Appointment for my ultrasound results at noon so Im anxious about that. My prediction is ovarian cysts and worse of the left than right. Ive been having a lot of mild ovarian pain the past few months and its been increasing in frequencies and intensity. So we'll see!

Hgreen- let us know what the doctor says.
Ttc- have fun this month, don't stress! Its your second month so I don't want you guys to worn out early in the process if it takes a few months. Also, stress can delay ovulation so find some fun things to stay relaxed :) it will happen soon!
Fingers crossed hgreen you get good news

Jel - We are planning on just having fun this month. I mean, I am charting and taking prenatals, but we have two dates planned for O week and my mother agreed to keep our son those two nights. My birthday is the 31st, and also happens to be the month my son was conceived 8 years ago, so we are hoping we can just relax and it will happen naturally. :)

Hgreen - I hope the results go well! I have had bad ovarian cysts since my son was born, and I know how unpleasant that can be. Cysts are relatively normal though, and don't tend to upset fertility, so at least that will be a relief!

So I do have cysts on both of my ovaries. It might be PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which my doctor said is one of the most common reasons for fertility problems. But I don't have any of the other characteristics such as obesity, facial hair, or acne so it may be some other form of ovarian syndrome. She said the fertility specialist will do more tests to find out exactly what it is.

It's a good thing I went in for bloodwork because I seem to have picked up a parasite when I was vacationing in Thailand with my hubby in December. Im pretty sure it's a tapeworm but I need to go in for some testing before I have a forsure diagnosis.

TTC, did your cysts cause you much pain? Im been having lots of cramping pain on both sides lately and it seems to be getting worse.

We're going to take it easy this cycle too. We'll BD when hubby is home on weekends and Im going to keep temping but I dont think Im going to do the LH tests this cycle.

My cycts get about the size of golf balls, usually 2-3 per ovary and burst monthly around the time of my cycle. They hurt really really bad about a week before my period, but then I feel better once I start. I get lucky and have a month or two a year without them. It honestly isn't too bad after you get used to it. Unfortunately, in my case, it will lead to bigger problems later. :/

Ick on the parasite!!! I hope that it is easily taken care of!

A parasite? Yuck, glad your doctor discovered it. I have my first doctors appointment a week from today and pretty excited. Ttc- how is the temping going?

Yeah the thought of having a parasite is really grossing me out and I have to wait 2 weeks for the test results to come back before we can start treatment. Yuck!

Oh a good note it seems like my ovarian cramps are much better today. Yesterday was pretty unbearable so I'm happy with the relief.

Jel, will you get to hear the heartbeat at your appointment next week, or is it too early? So exciting!

Glad your pain is decreasing. I think it's too early to hear the heartbeat. I'll be in my 6th week. I think I just get an exam and I'll see if I can get ultrasound

My tempting seems ok. I set an alarm to wake me a 4:30 every morning so I can always take it at the same time. Sometimes I have to get up around 4:30 on DHs really early day and then other mornings I don't wake until 6, and I didn't want that to upset the temps.

Sorry if I don't seem here very often or if I seem short. I have been helping my sister get the baby's room ready.

Oh 4:30, that's early! Good for you for being so committed.

So far out of my 9 temps I've had to discard 3 because of having a fever. But since I'm only on CD9 today and I'm starting to feel much better, I think I'll still be able to detect and confirm O.

On a bright note, I think the supplements I've been taking are already starting to take some effect. I started taking the Vitex, Dong Quai and Evening Primrose Oil the evening of CD1. For starters my period was only 4 days long this month. The past 3-4 cycles I've have been 3 days of period, a few days off and then 3-4 days of period again. So that was a welcome change. And now I've definitely noticed an increase in CM. If I ovulate before CD23 I'll consider that a win!

Also, the Dr called and prescribed me some medication to treat the parasite based on what she saw from my sample. She said it will still take the 2 weeks to confirm but that she was fairly confident so no point delaying. Thank God! That makes me feel so much better since I've been really grossed out by myself the past few days and not feeling like I was wanting to be intimate with DH when he gets home this wknd. Things are looking up around here!
