In the TWW. Looking for friends to commiserate with

Hi all!

I got my birth control out in January and we have been trying for the past couple of months. I'm in my TWW now and I'm 8 DPO.

Before having my first, we suffered through 2 chemical pregnancies and a miscarriage. Son is now 2 years old and will turn 3 in June.

I'm looking for people to connect with so that we can cheer each other on and commiserate about life with.

LyssaJade: So glad to hear from you! I'm on the same boat as you. Still trying and not giving up. This month is my 12th cycle TTC. I'm at 6 DPO and so far seems like nothing. But, who knows, I won't hate on small beginnings as one never knows. Here's hoping for you, me, and everyone else.

Hi there! I’m new to this forum but in a similar situation as you. I too stopped bc in Jan, had a chemical pregnancy in feb and then a mmc where I had to undergo a D&C in May. That has messed up my cycles big time and we have been struggling to fall pregnant since. Been going for acupuncture for 7 weeks now and on Chinese herbs (desperate times). I’m at 10dpo and think I will be devastated if we don’t get a bfp this time. Im showing most of the symptoms but am also scared it’s just early pms symptoms. Good luck to you! Hope you get your bfp!

Hi Everyone:

Ava0505: Welcome to the thread! So sorry for your losses, Ava, that must've been awful. It's been a while since that happened so hopefully your body healed and regulated.

I don't have any experience with acupuncture but there was someone on this thread that did. If you're interested, read through the thread, maybe you can inbox her and see what her experience was with it.

As for Chinese herbs, I have never tried them. IDK if anyone on this thread has used them. I don't remember reading about it here either. I've DHEA (at my OB/GYN's suggestion) for 3 cycles with no success. I also don't recommend it either. It made my heart beat irregularly. For the last 2 cycles, I'm taking 250mg of magnesium taurate spread out through the day because it can cause stomach upset if taking too close and bc I take other vitamins in the morning which can render the magnesium ineffective. So far, nothing. But, physically I do feel healthier.

I hope this is your month but try not to despair if it's not. You're not alone and you have support.

Good luck to you.

Hey everyone,

It's been a lousy 2 weeks with my cousin losing her battle with metastic breast cancer. And some other stuff happening. I also only worked last weekend as cashier, otherwise I havent been scheduled at all to work. I know I work black friday weekend, Im not sure if I work Thanksgiving yet though its a possibility.

I had an appointment on the 10th and my ob checked on my infection and I had no signs so hes not so concerned. He told me to keep on the restrictions.

And the hubby had a change of mind and Jaylen will be now named Jayse.

Hi Everyone:

Hberry: I am so sorry for your loss! I hope that you and your family can somehow find peace during this hard time.

I lost my mom to breast cancer in '91, she was 47; she passed away about 6 months after diagnosis (I was 14 at the time).

Glad the bladder infection gone! Please consider not working on Thanksgiving or black Friday because of the type of people you may encounter...can be dangerous and stressful.

Name change eh? How do you feel about it?

Mummum- my cousin was 41. I am glad the infection is gone too. That was so painful and caused me to think that I was having preterm labor. Not fun at all! As for working Thanksgiving and black friday, I may not have a choice. I am most likely going to be scheduled regardless.

As for the name change Im fine with it. The more the hubby heard the name Jaylen, the more he hated it. So Jaylen is now Jayse. And I suggested the name Jayse with the exact spelling when we found out we were expecting . The hubby thinks he came up with the name... How funny lmao. He wont admit I said it first because of course he wants to be right.

Mummum2: How are you doing this cycle? Any luck this month? Crossing my fingers for all of us!

As for me, I am currently on CD 19. This cycle was my first round of Clomid. Trying to pinpoint if I am even going to ovulate this month. I have been logging some pictures of OPK's on here for future reference. DH and I took a small break to focus on other things, friends and family with the holidays coming so soon but I am back, i just can't ever remember to log in :P

I have been feeling really intense pressure / soreness the last few days around my ovaries as well as some other symptoms that are out of the ordinary for me. I really hope this month will be it..as my OPK's are coming back darker everyday, but still no positive.
if we are not successful this cycle then we will be referred to see a specialist.

Hberry: How exciting! Not much longer for you right?? When are you due? I love the name you have picked! I wish you a safe and happy delivery and congrats on your soon to be here baby boy :)

Ava0505: Welcome to the thread, how is everything going for you?

Hi Everyone:

Hberry: Just be careful, Black Friday shoppers can be a special kind of crazy. I cannot believe how close you are to having the baby. Thank you for sharing your journey.

lyssajade: I hear lots of stories about clomid. The last chat I had with the Doctor involved putting me on it if the DHEA didn't work. Well, it didn't. I am taking magnesium for a bit to see. I'm also have people pray for me at something called the Healing Rooms. It's free and I'm desperate. I hope you get your BFP and have a healthy full term pregnancy. Your body has been through enough..all those meds and doctors! Sheesh! Though your symptoms sound like you're about to or are in the process ovulating so that's great. Keep up the BDing!

The holidays are also a tremendous strain because some people are so incredibly difficult. Ughh, I can't even.

As for me, I am currently on CD 3. This will be my 3rd month taking magnesium. It seems like it makes me feel physically better but once pregnant I have to stop because it interfere with implantation. My bbt has improved it seems. It not dropping that low during the follicular phase. Ovulation seems more apparent on my charts so that is probably good too. But still no pregnancy yet. I'm on to my 13th cycle and have been TTC since last March.

Mummum- I know. i was hit with a cart while pregnant with my daughter and the woman didnt even apologize to me at all. This time it will be either cashiering or either recovery which means straightening my department and doing returns. Im 36 weeks today and i had the strep b test (swab). Monday starts my 1 week appointments and cervix checks for dialation. If i were to be in active labor my dr said there is no point into stopping it.
