D&C, HSG and Hysteroscopy today... and surprising result

With all the problems I have had recently, I had some diagnostic testing and surgery today (Having a D&C and hysteroscopy is considered surgery) and was surprised by the results.

I have been praying for answers, and this has been my FIFTH pelvic surgery (the first four were laproscopic procedures). I expected the worst. I expected my doctor to tell me my tube was blocked, or that the endometriosis had invaded and caused blockages. This was NOT the case!

The dye took a little longer than expected to make it's way to my ovary, there could have been a small blockage, but it made it's way there and "spilled over" like it should have. My ONLY remaining tube and ovary look beautiful! I didn't understand why he insisted on doing a D&C, but with the abnormal bleeding I have had since coming off Lupron in March warranted it. During the hysteroscopy, polyps were found and removed. This explains why I have felt pregnant, and the "faint positives" on the pregnancy tests I had, could very well have been chemical pregnancies because the little eggie couldn't attach like it should have.

I asked for a pack of BC pills since we have to wait a cycle to try and conceive on our own, and sex is out of the question for at least two weeks! This will also shrink the cyst or folicle that is causing me a lot of pain... and it will also give me a benchmark of when I will ovulate next.

I don't like the idea of having to wait, but I am PLEASED to announce that we shouldn't have any issues conceiving after I heal over the next month.

The reason I opted to have this done, was because I wanted to know what specialist I needed to see (IVF or an Endometriosis specialist in Atlanta) so I could get closure and move on with my life. Having them done by my current doctor was far cheaper since neither of those specialists take insurance.

I am not entirely sure why I am writing this now since i'm still high on dilaudid and whatever other medications they gave me, but I need to vent somewhere!

Our TTC journey will hopefully come to an end in just a few short months with a HUGE BFP that I will plaster EVERYWHERE!

I know that after a successful pregnancy, I will most likely be having some form of a hysterectomy to help treat this painful disease (endometriosis), but I am excited and blessed to know that we can finally do it on our own, naturally.

That peace of mind... has renewed my sense of wellness. Words just can't describe...

I hope to post good news in about 2 months from now stating that we are PREGNANT! ... Only time will tell!
