LSchrader, are you taking birth control pills right now? Or have you stopped taking them? It's normal to have a bleed after stopping them - don't know about while on them, though.

LS - birth control can cause spotting - I was/am still spotting

If it gets heavy or you start normal bleeding I would call Dr to check in with him.

@TTC - wow! That's so awesome. Congrats, girlie. Grow, baby, grow. Today is 10 DPO and bFN for me, so it looks like I'm not going to have tons of babies this cycle after my ridiculous amount of follicles. I am ready for my next cycle already!

Lschrader- I haven't been on Bcp for several years now but I would think if u stopped it in the middle of a cycle that it would cause spotting.

Thanks While! I'm glad ur not going to be the next octomom, lol! Hopefully the next cycle works out for u!

Like I said ladies I got an IUI done on Friday took my trigger shot on Saturday and tested today with an OPK today and got a positive result? If I go by the day of the insemination I would be five DPO, and I am currently on cycle day 15. Did I do my insemination at the wrong time this month? They did bloodwork and ultrasounds and this is when they told us that we needed to do the insemination this month, i had two follicles one was 1.5 & one was 1.8 so they were both the right size? I am on Femera and I'm supposed to start taking progesterone this Friday.
Has this happened to any of you? I know you can ovulate more than one time in a cycle, but I don't think that's what this is? Any insight, comments, advice would be much appreciated. I can't post a picture of the OPK to you if you need me to, just kind of confused?

Does anyone have much experience with the all theov ovidrel trigger shot. I had my first Iui 5 days ago trigger shot 7 days ago. I've been testing out the trigger with hpts and it was very faint this morning but I have felt AWEFUL today so i took another this eveing and now my test is darker than this am. but it's too early to be real HCG so what the heck is going on??

Any advice much appreciated
Good luck to everyone !!

Adamswife- I have taken an opk everyday since the iui bc I'm crazy and they have all been positive I'm now 5 days past IUI. I read somewhere that it has to do with the OPK can pick up the pregnancy hormone as well lh So it makes it positive?

AdamsWife - opks will register hcg, too.

MrsN05 - ovidrel is 250mcg which is approximately 6,700IU of hcg. hcg has a half life of 27 hours, meaning that every 27 hours, the amount in your system drops by half. Basically - your particular metabolism can speed this up or slow it down a wee bit. In any event, it will take about 9-11 days to get out of your system enough not to trip a pregnancy test (depending on the sensitivity of the test).

However, hpts are qualitative, not quantitative. So the darkness of the line isn't reliable. They only test to make sure the test will show a line if the hcg is above a certain amount (typically 10-25IU). Anything else, there's no relying upon. So the amount of dye in the tests can differ. Plus the concentration of your urine will differ.
