mock cycle and some unexpected news
The next chapter in the TTC journey. I have finally had my cycle after 5 weeks post D&C. I have had the saline histogram and met with the doc. I actually had two meetings with two different clinics and both said the same thing. They are supportive that I want to move onto donor eggs. However they both said that I should continue on with IUI until a donor is available. Both think I have a really good chance of still having my own. I think I will survive just fine trying and having another loss. It is strange to think about it that way. I feel that it is not the end of the journey if I have another loss. Donor eggs are in my sights. It takes the sting away.
I have a cyst or follicle or something on my SHG. I asked the doc if I can just do a month of BCP to help it shrink. I am very nervous about having any cysts or follicles not planned. I called the donor program organizer and she wants to do a mock cycle. I figured since I am already planning on being on the pill, why not just do my mock cycle now? It really works out well! I feel a little better knowing I am moving forward and saving some wait time by doing this now. I am a little unexcited about medically induced menopause and the horrible side effects of lupron. I have never been on it, I have only heard others talk of how bad it is. Maybe with my already boarder line hormones it won't be as bad. I hate hate hate that it is going to take us until spring to save up the money for treatment but I guess an IUI or three will kill time and be a good distraction!!
