Waiting for post mmc AF to return. On to donor eggs.
D&C was 9/16. HPT first negative was 24 days post D&C. Now just waiting for AF. I have decided I am done having miscarriages and am over the entire thing. I plan on asking about frozen donor eggs. I don't care about a genetic link to my child. I will carry and birth this tiny human so what does it matter? I will find a donor that looks like me as best I can (I am a rarer kind of combo). I have been reading about epigenetics and gene expression. It is very encouraging. I am also a believer of nurture and nature. So I know that some traits will be hard wired but I have no worries about him/her fitting into our family with no problem. After reading soooo many blogs and threads about women who are considering or have used donor eggs I must say I feel women put way too much stock in the whole genetic link. Sorry if I offend anyone, it's not my intent. All I am saying is I just don't care that much and am more concerned about a healthy pregnancy and raising a decent human. I feel more grief about the loss of spontaneous pregnancy and the joy of not having to spend thousands of dollars to buy a human. Yes I said buy a human because that is what I am doing! :D Now I know it may not work but I choose to be optimistic. Obviously my crap-tastic eggs are not holding up their end of the bargain.
I am choosing frozen donor eggs to save money. There is a difference in success between fresh and frozen but it is so small. Hubby only wants one child so we don't need to worry to try for siblings. Frozen would guarantee the number of eggs received. There are too many variables that scare me about using fresh. What if the donor drops out, doesn't respond, etc... I figure I can spare some money and do more cycles if the first doesn't take. I am so ready for a family all ready!!! Come on AF!!!
