Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy:

hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :

3 weeks LMP: 5 â?? 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 â?? 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 â?? 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 â?? 56,500 mIU/ml
7 â?? 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 â?? 229,000 mIU/ml
9 â?? 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 â?? 288,000 mIU/ml
13 â?? 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 â?? 254,000 mIU/ml
17 â?? 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 â?? 165,400 mIU/ml
25 â?? 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 â?? 117,000 mIU/ml

All the "â??" should be dashes. Sorry about that. At 5 weeks the hcg level should be anywhere from 18 to 7,340.

Everyone is different. I was at 100 1 day prior to my period starting... but my sister wasn't at 100 until 5+3 days. We both have viable pregnancies. It is the movement of the number upward that really counts that early. The lower number can also indicate your dates are a bit off. Get tested again in 3 days. It should then be closer to 300-500. And up and up it should go. Good Luck. xxx

Don't freak out with that number, wait to see if the second number has doubled, as that is way more important. Hcg levels vary so much from woman to woman.

Thanks ladies but my doctor called this afternoon and my second blood test was onnly 110, I'll have another one done next week to be 110% certain but he agreed things don't look at all good. I had a miscarriage late last year, and although this isn't as cripplingly devestating as that was, it is very sad :(. Thanks for your kind and encouraging replies xx
