Question

I had a baby six weeks ago. How long should I wait for the next baby. How long did it take you

I am 36 and my clock is ticking. I am afraid to wait too long and give up my chances of baby # 2 with hubby # 2. It took us two years to conceive so I want to try right away. Anyone know how long I should wait or how long conception takes after a pregnancy?

Take a look at this site, http://www.babycentre.co.uk/a545268/are-you-ready-for-another-baby. :) Remember that it varies from baby to baby. It may not take as long as the first one when you try again.

Just be careful and let your body completely heal. I have a friend who is having major complications with this pregnancy because she didn't wait long enough to have the next one. I would check with your dr and follow his advice. I understand wanting to have another, but just be careful.

My sister got married very young and had kids (one after another) (11 months apart), but that was when she was 19.. and she did the same again when she was in her twenties (so she has total 4 kids)...all kids healthy and normal delivery at 38 wks - all 4

BUT you are older..so really depends how healthy feel - also she was not breastfeeding ... If you feel ready..I don't see any harm of ttc..but the others are right..getting a doc's opinion is probably a good idea..also they may know of what the evidence says..
