Any other ladies waiting to try again after a miscarriage?

Hi ladies, it's been a month since my miscarriage and still bleeding and waiting for hcg to go away (@ 42 last I checked)

Just seeing if there are any other ladies in a similar situation hoping for their rainbow soon! Please let's help support and encourage one another! :)

Hi there,

Sorry to read about everyone's losses. I hope we have our little rainbow baby in 2015! I hope it doesn't take too long as last time it took 13 months to get pregnant. That would have been our first baby if I hadn't miscarried.

I had a d&c on the 3rd Dec 2014 after I started to spot/lightly bleed on the 27th Nov through to the 1st Dec when I had an hcg test that showed my hcg levels had dropped by half and I also had a scan showing my body was in the process of miscarrying. I had a d&c on the 3rd and bled on and off for about 6 days afterwards. Just started my period 28 days after d&c so that is great!

Have read and was told to wait a cycle so that everything comes back ok. Then can try. Think it is for more dating purposes than healing although it depends how far along you were and whether you miscarried naturally, took pills or had a d&c under general anaesthetic. I recovered really well physically after the d&c. Just was very tired for a while afterwards!!

Good luck everyone! It is really incredible how many women have had miscarriages!

Hi Ladies,

Happy New Year!

LogansMommy08: Well, every day we were celebrating or I knew or thought I would be drinking I tested with FMU and it was a BFN. I have no idea, when or if I O'd and I have no idea where I am in my cycle.

I am so sorry that your insurance only covers pregnancy and not fertility treatments and tests. I am so glad I am on my DH's insurance because my old insurance I didn't even have maternity coverage at all...it costs way to much to have it added when it's independent insurance.

I'm also so sorry you still don't have any news. The wait is the worst. My prayers are with you and I pray you go in and find out there is still a healthy baby inside of you.

ecesweetie1983: I am so sorry for your loss as well. And know how you feel about how long it took to get PG just to lose it. DH & I had been trying for 20 cycles and our 20th cycle we did our first IUI and it worked...just for us to lose it. We lost ours on Nov 10th. If we aren't lucky this month we are doing another IUI next cycle.

It is amazing and incredibly sad on how many women go through miscarriages...my RN say only 1 out of 5 pregnancies take hold. That's incredible and not really sure how that makes me feel. I just really want to be that 1 of the 5. This will be my 1st baby, DH already has 2 but they don't live with us...we get to see them every other weekend. But what gives me hope and hopefully will give you hope as well...my doctor says you are much more fertile after a mc and live birth for upto 6 months. So fingers crossed that is the case for us.

AFM: Well my symptoms aren't much to go on at the moment...except for AF not arriving yet and I could've sworn she was going to the other day along with a painful BM...my boobs really hurt, I feel tired and emotional (but that could be from the stress of the job and that I didn't go to bed until late), my lower back has been a bit achy and my skin feels oily and have had a couple breakouts. All these symptoms could be related to the stress I have been under but who knows...only time will tell. In theory AF isn't due until Sunday Jan 4. So I guess we will see what happens.

Sadly the end of 2014 didn't end on a good note for me and has been a very stressful week. I work for my dad...have been for the past 10-12 years and just found out that things aren't going well and we are running out of money. And if we don't get good news soon by either the end of next week or within at least 3 months I may be out of a job. We still plan on TTC'ing and hoping for the best. DH does say that if this isn't our month that my job struggles doesn't change our decision to keep going forward with TTC. Which I am very happy to hear. He also says that if this month isn't our month we will still do the IUI. He knows that if we stop now I am running out of years to keep trying. I just hate not knowing what my future may hold when things already aren't looking good.

Could really use some prayers that things with my job turn around for the better.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies,

Well, yesterday I was 2 days late. So I decided to take a HPT. I saw a light positive test yesterday morning and decided this time I am calling the doctors right away. You can see the test on my page. It is very light.

The RN called me back and told me to come in for a blood test to see where my levels are at. Well, the HCG is low. But the numbers are...

HCG=15
Progesterone=16.6

The RN only called me yesterday with the HCG level, at the time she didn't know my Progesterone level. She said it was a positive pregnancy but the level was very low but also said it was still considered early since I have no idea when I O'd. So I go back tomorrow morning for another test. She also said since they aren't in on Wednesdays I could call the main number to get my Prog level. So, I called today to find out...all I can say is that it's MUCH better than the last time which was a 7.5. If I remember correctly they want your progesterone level to be above 10. The low HCG level makes me nervous and I did take another HPT and it was the same as yesterdays but I think the line came up a little faster. So, that this one sticks!

I'm soooo nervous about the low HCG but trying so hard to stay relaxed too. Before my mc I had low numbers then too but like I mentioned above the progesterone was really low...this time it's not that low. So that alone is giving me some hope. Feeling some very slight on & off cramping, boobs hurt and I feel like I am suffocating in my bra, I feel slightly moody (but, that could be because I don't feel like I got a good enough sleep last night). I'm excited and really nervous for tomorrows tests. I hate this waiting part...lol.

Oh Lolo that is exciting. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you as well. Did you conceive naturally this cycle?

Well I am in my tww. I am 3-4dpo and just trying to stay calm and not read into every little thing that could be a sign of early pregnancy.

Well good luck and Baby dust.[luck

Congratulations on your !!!!! !!

Ladies, I went today for my repeat ultrasound. Since the bleeding and terrible cramps I was convinced I had lost the baby. I kept my appointment today just to confirm things and to know what my next steps needed to be. Well, I am HAPPY to announce the baby HAS A HEARTBEAT!! Nice and strong! I am 8 weeks and 3 days along with a due date of August 17, 2015!!!! I am over the moon excited right now! Maybe we truly do have a sticky little bean this time! Thank you for all well wishes and thoughts and prayers. We sure did need them, and still do!

I hope all of you are doing well!

Oh that is so great logansmommy! :) What a relief

I'm on cycle day 8 and just waiting for ovulation, and trying to convince my husband it's the right time. It's been almost 3 months, but he's really nervous it's going to happen again. Which it could...or it could not. But I'm so ready to be pregnant again!

LogansMommy08: OMG! That is so wonderful! What a great miracle!

lele79: Thanks. Yes, I did conceive this one naturally. I just hope and pray this one sticks.

AFM: Well, I did get my HCG test back today and it's not that high...only 20.4. So it only went up by 5 numbers since Tuesday. Not feeling very confident. The nurse said it should have doubled but not to worry yet because it might still be too early. Not sure how I feel about that. I mean it is probably still very early and I don't feel like AF is coming...but I was really hoping my numbers would have climbed higher by now or at least doubled...maybe it only does that if you are later in the early PG. FF said I was supposed to get AF last Sunday but if you look at my chart I suppose it's possible I didn't O until CD21. If that's the case then in theory I am only at 12DPO. So, trying to stay relaxed and hopeful...but I don't know...my emotions keep going back and forth. I suppose if AF still doesn't show by Monday then I will probably have better luck. I also have another blood test set for Monday morning.

Hello Ladies! I'm hoping I can join this thread with you! My DH and I lost our first pregnancy in April 2014 at 11w2d. It was my only MC ever after having 4 beautiful, healthy kids and it was a surprise. We had stopped preventing after 4 years and decided we'd see what happened! A cycle or two later, Bam! Considering he's over 40 and I just hit that "Advanced Maternal Age" category, I just never thought it would happen that quickly! Looking back now, I wonder if the whole purpose of my Angel baby was to make me aware it is, indeed, a possibility. DH and I found each other later in life, but he is an excellent Dad already and I'd love to make him and the other 4 kids hush up about having a baby sibling already!!:-) :-D Lately, every time a baby is born in something we're watching or we see a newborn out in public DH says "Oooh! Look, Honey! I want one!" and it absolutely makes me misty-eyed! So here's our nitty-gritty:
We've been officially trying since May 2014, so this is cycle 8. I'm 9dpo today, so it's really too early to test. I'm trying hard not to stress about ANY of the TTC related stuff anymore, like I have in prior cycles. I plan to just wait until AF is late to test. That would be 5 days from now, 1/14. Also, I know at our ages they say to see a specialist after 6 months. DH and I have discussed it and agree that if it's supposed to happen, it will. If not, we're already quite blessed with four, Thanks! :-D

MDara678: Welcome and so sorry for your loss. Must've been confusing after having 4 healthy pregnancies and then losing one. I only have 2 step kids that don't live with us. I am 38 DH is turning 40 soon. It's tough TTC #1 at this age. Finally got pregnant 2 cycles ago since we started TTC in March of 2013 and then lost it on Nov 10. Hoping this month this one sticks. FX4U Hope you get lucky this month.

AFM: Well, if I make it tomorrow I will feel a little bit better. I have a strong feeling I will. When I had my mc it was on CD36. Today I am on CD36. I will feel much better when I hear my numbers are where they should be. No PMS like cramps...feeling pretty good. Last time I was feeling PMS cramps for almost a week leading up to the mc. AND I took another HPT this morning and I definitely saw a BFP! It was more like what I would call a standard positive. The line showed up right away and gradually started to get darker but didn't turn into a strong positive. You tell me...would you consider it a standard or faint? (test is in HPT images on my page) Tomorrow I go in for another blood test. I just pray that the test has at least quadrupled. If it was 20 on Thursday then if my calculations are correct it should be 80+ tomorrow...correct?

I am so nervous. I have been having some extremely light cramps. But it's more like a muscle cramp/ache or gas. I have been drinking water like it's going out of style...lol. I drink water but usually not this much. I can't seem to get enough of the ice water. Boobs ache at times and nipples are sensitive. Low back aches too. Supposed to go see the chiropractor on Wed but I feel like it's too early and I don't want it to dislodge...I will ask the nurse tomorrow if I can. With my luck she'll call while I am at work and I don't plan to tell anyone until I am further along. Having a really hard time believing it...I keep going back to look at the test...lol.
