Melanoma and pregnancy

Hi ladies, going through a major scare and wanted to share in hopes that it can help someone else.
I have always tanned, laying in the sun for hours, tanning beds, sunscreen...who needs it I want to be tan attitude. I even talked about the whole chance of melnoma with a friend this spring and made the comment, everything causes cancer, I young and try to never burn so I'll be fine.
I found out that I was pregnant last july, It was a rough pregnancy and we lost a twin at 8 weeks, the pregnancy continued and I was sicker than ever, at 27+ weeks I went in for a regular checkup and found there was no heart beat. I delivered my son four days before Christmas and buried him the day before christmas eve. Hardest thing ever. Within the blur of the loss I noticed a new mole on my leg like it popped up over night, strange but didnt think a whole lot more of it.
Just last month I had a sun spot near my eye that suddenly got really dark and larger, time to go to a dermatologist. Eye was fine just a ugly sun spot, however that new mole was not okay, they removed it immediatly and sent it for tests. the test came back magrginal melenoma. Not all the way melanoma but not, not melanoma. many specialists have second third and fourth opinioned this and I will be getting a larger chunk removed from my leg on wednesday.
scared to death and had absolutley no idea that this was a common occurance in pregnancy.
My ttc journey since our son has turned me into a poas symptom watching cervix checking crazy person and I have found refuge here with all of you and want to make sure you are alerted to this.
ALL WOMEN TTC OR PREGNANT, WATCH YOUR BODY FOR ANY NEW MOLES. DONT WAIT TO GET THEM CHECKED, IT CAN SPREAD QUITE FAST AND BECOME HARDER TO FIGHT. BASIC APPOINTMENT FOR ME WAS $80, (no insurance) WELL WORTH SAVING MY LIFE RIGHT!
