Hello to all of the new ladies!! Welcome!! I'm hanging out on CD 7 just enjoying all of the fun leading up to the big O. Anyone else with long cycles? I'm a 32-35 day cycle.

Hello Ladies. I'm on CD11. I should ov around CD15, so I'm almost there. I'm getting a little antsy. Seems like no matter where I am in my cycle, I'm always thinking about what comes next. Is AF going to come on time, am I close to ovulating, is it time to test yet? Keep reminding myself to relax. LOL. Anyway, my plan to is BD every night, every other night at the very least. I know my body may need more time to readjust after stopping BC so I don't want to get my hopes up, but it would be great if we could have an Oct. baby.

Congrats to those that got BFPs, and welcome to the newcomers!!

Stay positive!!

Scooby, I agree 100% with Felurian. The strategy most doctor's take is to test things and eliminate possible issues. After my first visit with the RE and based on my thyroid and his sperm issues, we started off testing my egg reserve, then HSG and then they suggested IUI. I also had base testing done by my ob/gyn when we first met about infertility (prolactin, progesterone and testosterone). Most insurances don't cover IUI nor the medications involved (injectables, etc). I think it's an aggressive move especially considering everything and the fact that IUI doesn't boost big success rates.

@Scooby did he do blood work? I might admire a dr who wants to jump in and start trying for some results, but I would definitely ask a ton of questions. The only way to understand his process and thinking on this is to ask him. If he explains maybe you might agree or better understand. If you still dont feel comfortable or if he is unwilling to explain then I would look for someone else. Physicians are like cars...... many of them are good but you have to find the right one for your preferences. I like a more aggressive dr, but I always ask a million questions. If it is a financial road block I would also just be up front and tell him. A lot of times they might give their recommendations for what they think is best, but they don't know anything about your insurance plan. You will ultimately know what feels right for you.

emmalucy - awesome! glad that the temps confirmed O and when! i'm also very tired this cycle. usually have bad cramps around O time.

emmaspouch - weren't we the same DPO? i haven't caved yet and tested, but i want to so bad!!

rebecca - so far my temps are still pretty high, but i have only temp'd the mornings it'll work out and make sure i don't stress, so that's why many temps are missing, wanted to be more laid back this cycle. glad they liked your lab levels!!! hope they stay in good ranges. i totally understand waiting to tell others. because of the nature of my job and the 'dangers' at work i gotta tell my coworkers almost right away, which is a bummer, because if something did happen I really don't want to tell that many people....

aclark - hope a laid back approach works great!

while - sorry about the BFN's :(

gds - stick around and give us your baby luck dust ;)

basia - sorry about the BFN. yeah spotting that long doesn't seem right, i hope your doc has an answer. my temp seems to drop 2-3 days before AF showed up in the past. kept reading, saw AF just got ya, sorry :(

karmic - i'm also trying to be super positive this cycle, but this tww is sooo dragging! not sure what to think of that random blood clot? hopefully it was implantation, but it doesn't happen as often as this site makes ya think, only about 15% of pregnant women experience it.

ccwilliams - welcome!!

mylucky - let us know how that appt goes!!

autiebell - you sound similar to what i was when i was that DPO. FX'd it's good news for us!

sydnergy - hope you caught that egg!

ready4babies - congrats!!!! stick lil bean!!

koti - glad you had a good vacation!!! i turn 30 in a couple weeks, you have until october, didn't realize we were that close in age! i'm trying so hard to hold out til this weekend to test!!

GB - my husband just had a SA done this month. i guess i just kinda told him that he had an appt to drop the boys off at the doc at this day and time and here's your sample cup, and use mineral oil (since lots of lubes can damage them). he just did as i asked since he knew it was so important to me and we wanted to know if it's only my health issue or if it's both of us. i feel his semen is pretty liquid also, but i guess you can't say much about count based on that. you guys will have to sit down and talk about it. to me it's not a measure of their manhood or whatever things they think of. good job on the weight loss!! also they recommend temping before you get up, so i keep my thermometer on the bedside table. my husband has never said anything about me temping, but it's also dark as a cave in our bedroom :)

gds - wow, your sis would drive me crazy!!! i'm not sure when we'd tell anyone cuz i'm also so worried something would happen and that's so sad and awkward to tell everyone. sorry about the lack of sleep and heartburn!

clf - they recommend waiting to test until the day of your missed period.... but it's so hard to wait!!!

molldoll - GL!!! catch that egg!

katie82 - it's so nice to finally get a 'plan' from the doctor! my DH just had his SA earlier this month, make sure you check to see what he can safely use, they told us mineral oil was OK, and his SA came back very good (and it even took him 30minutes to get the sample in there). i had the sonoHSG done on CD11 (normally they do CD 5-10). so mine didn't involve contrast, just saline and the ultrasound. I admit, feeling that flush inside of you is OK until they really push it to check the tubes, very weird and painful for like 2 seconds each time. definitely deep breaths to help get through it. really hoping i'm more fertile now! but now we're a little worried about the possibility of endometriosis. hope your insides look good!! let me know if you do the natural IUI, dunno if we may have to go down that road some day.

angelic - are you using the progesterone right now?? the first part of your cycle uses estrogen predominantly. progesterone being used during the first part of the cycle would definitely delay ovulation.

princesca - sorry AF came :( definitely eat naughty food!!

sarah - hope you get some sleep too!

scooby - does sound like you can get pregnant, but maybe maintaining is the hard part? have they ever tested your progesterone?? definitely agree with what felurian all said!!

msfreebs - welcome, baby dust!!!

carla - welcome! catch that egg!

AFM 11DPO. my last couple cycles i got AF at this time. now that we know my progesterone is low i've been on the suppositories this cycle and i feel they're going well. Hard part is what is me and what is influenced by them? immediately this cycle was definitely more fatigued and falling asleep early, this was before starting meds. also randomly have had uterine cramps, twinges, etc. the other morning had cramps wake me up early, had diarrhea that day too. at first i thought it was the mexican i ate the night before, but i ate the leftovers that night and totally fine the next day. super thirsty only on 9DPO. last couple days harder to sleep and occasional pangs of pain in a breast. typically i have sore bbs the whole LP period, and i notice the pain drops about now, when AF would show up. last couple days they still hurt, but not as horrible as they were, so i don't know if that's a bad sign??? any insight would be appreciated. trying to last until weekend to test!!! FX'd ladies!

p.s. sorry such a long post!!

I'm definitely sticking around. Hope I can share the !!!!

Definitely a lot more posts here than on CMP. I've been on there throughout the day and there is nothing posted :(

Anyhow, 17dpo and have had some cramping on my right side today. Definitely more moody than usual. Still haven't told anyone and I keep praying I can keep my mouth shut.

Since my sister and sis-in-law are expecting I got away with getting a box of diapers at the store.....lol. 128 diapers for $19. Starting early on my stash. DH and I bought our first girl outfit after dating for a year and we've picked up a few more here and there. Really helps me out in living my dream of having a baby girl. DH is supportive but thinks my clothes stash has gotten out of control. I've probably got about 30 outfits. I figured we would try and try and then if it didn't happen, I would donate all those clothes to a needy family. Now all that's changed with my BFP's.............so excited!!!

Really praying for some sleep tonight.

Lots of and to all
of you!!!

Basia30- Thanks for the tip! I just bought 30 PTs and 20 OPK's that came with 3 free PT's for less than 10$! WOAH! Now hopefully I don't have to use them all, but man do I realize how much money I've been wasting!

Firsttimemommy30- Thank you!!

CD 24, 6 DPO. Yesterday and the day before I had some pinches and inner cramp feelings. I should start detailing EVERY little thing but then I feel like I'm looking into things too much. Ahh the stress of ttc!

Hey, so random question that I may send into the questions if no one knows.

I read somewhere that female orgasm makes the environment for sperm not as good. It was either it makes it acidic and they swim easier in alkaline or vice versa. My question is a) does anyone know anything more about that? and b) do you ladies skip the orgasm during ovulation?

I tried it for the first time this cycle, we'll see if it helps! But I don't want to be selling myself short if I don't have to ;)

Carla - My EDD would be October 17th so we're close!

Molldoll: I'm typically around 35 days, so also a long cycle.

Baby dust to everyone.

Firsttime: Thanks! We're hoping the laid back approach works too!

Best of luck to everyone this cycle!

sydnergy - I've read that one theory behind the female orgasm was that it helps to propel sperm towards the cervix. The muscle spasm that accompanies the female orgasm can help the sperm make it through the first hurdle of getting to the cervix.

Molldoll - I had 32-34 day cycles. We conceived earlier this month after TTC for 14 cycles. Also, having an orgasm helps. I used cheapie OPKs and backed them up with Clearblue digital OPKs. I was getting multiple positive cheapie OPKs or what appeared to be positive...so I would back up my cheapies with Clearblue. My cheapies were turning positive a day earlier than my Clearblues. When we conceived, I was on my second cycle using Clearblues.
