so if the levels of that hormone are low that would prevent me from getting pregnant until they get up? right?

Basia - It wouldn't really prevent you from getting pregnant it will just be more difficult to keep the pregnancy going. Progesterone is a key hormone in keeping a pregnancy going until the placenta takes over at about 16 weeks.

Thank you fiverson09 for the info.

I didn't know if you have endometriosis it can effect progesterone levels. If I'm not spotting at all and my cycle is usually right around 28 days with (+)OPK's btw CD12-14, do you think it's something I should worry about/ask my dr? I have my annual checkup next month.

Any other ?'s/tests anyone thinks I should ask my dr about?

Basia - No problem. I've been TTC for 2 years so, I've become a little familiar with all of the in's and out's of TTC.

GB1020 - Endometriosis is an estrogen based disease, so levels of estrogen are usually higher than progesterone. Well, progesterone is essential in pregnancy.
I would say, if you have a fairly regular cycle with no spotting you should be ok. Now, if you have very heavy, painful periods like I do then it would be something to be concerned about. Endometriosis is usually only diagnosed through exploritory surgery, but if you are concerned about it, mention it to your doctor.

My life seems to revolve around my Endometriosis as it is a very debilitating disease. I was diagnosed when I was 19 and I am now 28. I've had several surgery's to try and help with the pain and infertility.

I found a link about the symptoms of Endometriosis, if you're interested.

Fiverson - Thanks for the info. My Dr. has said I may have endometriosis for the past year we've thought it could be a possibility. My sister has it and she has had surgery 3 times for it, and she had a baby after her first surgery. My Dr. said not to do the laproscopy unless I really thought I needed it or if I tried to get pregnant for 6mo+ and wasn't, and we thought I was still having symptoms then we would do it. So when I go next month, that will be 6mos of TTC. Hopefully I'll get my BFP this month and it won't be necessary, but I don't feel like this is going to be my month either for some reason. Just kinda feeling down and out with the whole TTC process...thought it would have happened by now. Never thought it would be this hard. And here's me saying that with not even TTC for 6 months and you've been trying for 2 years - how do you deal with the emotions?

GB - The surgery I had at 19 (2005), helped me so much in the pain department. I hadn't met my DH yet so, after the surgery I went on Birth Control which helped keep the Endo at bay. I went off BC about 2 months before DH and I got married (Feb of 2012) and we've been trying to conceive since our wedding night.

The emotional rollercoaster that comes with TTC is sometimes to much to handle. My mom and I are very close so she has been with me through this whole process. It really helps to have a good support system. All of the ladies on this sight have helped me with their experiences and their knowledge and I'm forever greatful. Plus having a DH that is so understanding and patient helps too. He tells me all the time that he loves me and no matter the outcome, we'll always have each other.

I'm so hoping this is our month...my EDD is DH's birthday...October 8th. What a blessing that would be. This is only the 2nd cycle that I've been taking progesterone, so hopefully we caught the egg. My docot told me that progesterone cream can help reverse the effects of Endometriosis....I guess I'll know soon enough.

I hope you caught that egg as well! So much baby dust coming your way!!! I love October - my wedding anniversary is the 20th and I love Halloween - go all out decorating and dressing up! On this site it says if I get pregnant this cycle my EDD would be 10/22. I hope I get my BFP this cycle, what a miracle that would be for me!!! Just dying to be a mother!

I wanted to hop in on the progesterone convo. I agree - you should have it diagnosed by a doctor before you start taking over the counter creams. I have had two miscarriages, and my OB wants to start me on progesterone suppositories the next I have a pregnancy where the numbers show promise. She said it can't hurt and it might help. So we'll see.

Around 6 DPO and starting to get antsy. I have pretty much NO preggo symptoms, but I'm hoping this is the month. Same story as every month, although this month I'm hoping to hold out testing until Tuesday. I am working at a youth event through my church this weekend so that should help distract me.
