Tracking the Big O?

It's amazing how hard it can be trying for a second child when the first one surprised you! We're TTC in January after 4 MCs and I've been on the pill for about 5 months now. My DH wants to try the first round on our own and if we don't get a BFP right away then I'm going to start taking Chlomid by recommendation of our fertility specialist. Only one problem remains...

I have NO idea how to track my O with such a small time frame and am really not very knowledgeable about the subject in general. I've always been irregular and was told at 19 I was unable to conceive so I never bothered learning how to track.

I don't want to have to spend a ton of money on OPKs so any advice or suggestions would be great! Worst case scenario, I'll bite the bullet and stock up on tests lol

If it helps, earlypregnancytests.com sells conception packs for really cheap. I just got 15 ovulation sticks and 5 hpts in one kit for $15. That might be something you can do for January. At least that way you will have a good idea of when/if you ovulate.

You can track o with cervical mucous, opks, and confirm o with bbt. I used all three methods when I was getting to know my cycles. Just do a little research and you'll find all the information you need. Google was a big help to me. GL
