For financial reasons I had to go all natural after a failed IUI and IVF, coupled with 3 miscarriages (at 10 weeks & 8 weeks) and a number of chemical pregnancies. I don't have a problem getting pregnant, it's holding the pregnancy. I have two children from my first marriage (16 & 14 y/o) and my DH and I adopted a child (9 y/o). We want to complete our family with a few more biological children. We are both 43 y/o and while my DH doesn't like to feel pressured, I am determined.

Don't know if this will work for anybody else, but am sharing just in case...

I read the book "Inconceivable" by Julia Indichova and highly recommend it. As a result I've changed my diet and excercise plan to that of a vegan diet, plus: no dairy, no sugar, no gluten, no meat, no alcohol, no coffee/tea, no white breads/pasta/rice. It's a mostly organic diet that is alkaline, with whole grains.

I've combined diet with weight training and running 4-5 days per week. This helped me to get down to "fighting weight" and health :) Now that I'm 4w2d pregnant, I am continuing with running and weight lifting, just using less weight and listening to my body. I also take in 75 to 100mg of brown rice protein daily and approximately 1200-1500 calories per day (mix my protein powder with almond milk and cinnamon/pumpkin pie spice).

I start each day with Wobenzym N Enteric Coated Tabs: 6 tablets early every morning on an empty stomach. An hour later I take my glass of carrot juice mixed with a scoop of organic wheatgrass powder.

My daily supplements include the following:
Metformin 500mg twice per day (I'm insulin-resistant)
Aspirin 81mg once per day
Maca 500mg twice per day
Vitex 2 tablets twice per day
B-vitamin complex
Guifsensin or Robitussin twice per day (to thin my mucus)
Maximum Living MineralRich Plus Aloe 2 tablespoons per day

I get my stuff on either amazon.com or iherb.com and firmly believe that these changes have helped to ovulate again, regulate my periods, and change my menstrual color from dark brown to a bright red (sorry tmi) with no more clotting. My luteal phase has also been 14 days for the past year (it was 10-12 days after turning 39).

It may seem like a alot, but I made the changes slowly over the past three years. At 40 y/o I stopped menstruating and my doctor told me "not to worry, that I was just pre-menopausal." I was so upset and knew that I had to reverse this in order to have a baby. That's when I started making changes slowly. We've been pregnant naturally since then, but I hadn't cut out dairy and sugar, and I was still at almost 200lbs.

I started using castor oil packs to treat my ovarian cysts about 5 months ago, and it's been really effective. I've stopped the packs, but continue to topically rub a small amount of castor oil on my abdomen (lower and right side over the liver, and lower back area). I'll continue doing this until the end of this current pregnancy.

Even though it's still early, I feel that this pregnancy is different from the others. I still worry, of course, but I'm going to continue doing what's worked to get me here.

BTW, I'll stop taking Maca and Vitex at the 15 week mark. There's a great infertility website that offers natural remedy advice by Hethir Rodriguez (natural-fertility-info.com). This lady is awesome and so informative. Between this website and the "Incoceivable" book I learned so much and have seriously reversed the clock on my body. I even look younger!

Also, early on I used DHEA 75mg daily (prescribed by my doctor, a Fertility Specialist) and I think this is what caused me to develop ovarian cysts even after I was done with IUI and IVF. I never used to have cysts before then.

I wish many blessings and baby dust to everyone.
