IVF #2 - will update as things progress
I got my baseline done today and I am good to go :) We are starting stimulation today.
Last IVF I had a bit different protocol but we had to change few things as the outcome of the last one was not so great.
In addition I started acupuncture at the end of April. I go 2x a week and I find it super relaxing.
For those who are interested how IVF process might look like this is what happened so far:
May 30th - June 12 Lupron 10 units (12 days)
June 11th - CD#1 - Lupron 10 units
June 12th - CD #2 - Baseline (all looked good) - Lupron 5 units and Follistim (FSH) 200 units - DH starts doxycycline in the evening and will continue it till retrieval (2x day)
**I got bad headache - apparently very common side effect of Lupron - hopefully it goes away
June 13th - CD #3 - Lupron 5 units and Follistim 200 units
June 14th - CD #4 - bloodwork - got call that all looks good and to continue meds (same dosage) - so Lupron 5 units and Follistim 200 units
June 15th - CD #5 - Lupron 5 units and Follistim 200 units
June 16th - CD #6 - bloodwork and ultrasound - Follicles are growing slowly but all looks good. Lining is getting thicker - 8 mm :) E2 levels 418, P4 level 0.3 - Follistim 200 units and Lupon 5 units
June 17th - CD #7 - Follistim 200 units and Lupron 5 units - I woke up a bit uncomfortable today. I can definitively feel the pressure in my belly - follicles are growing :)
June 18th - CD #8 - ultrasound and bloodwork - follicles are growing - Follistim 200 units and Lupron 5
Endometrium lining - 9 mm
E2 level 975; P4 level 0.9
June 19th - CD #9 - bloodwork - E2 level jumped to 2300s; we will decrease Follistim to 125 units and Lupron stays at 5 units
June 20th - CD #10 - blood work and ultrasound - my follicles are ready for triggering :)
Blood results came back E2 is in 2600s. We will trigger with 5000 units of HCG and have retrieval on Monday.
June 21st - CD #11 - bloodwork
June 22nd - CD #12 - Retrieval
I will be taking Doxycycline and Medrol in PM - to prevent any possible infection
Also - A point to make - I would recommend eating yogurt daily at this time. They put you on a antibiotic for a short period of time and it is easy to get yeast infection from it.
We got 16 eggs.
June 23rd - CD #13 - 1DPO - I found out that 15 out of 16 eggs were mature and 15 fertilized (we did ICSI).
I will be having 5 day transfer - so Saturday it is :)
Now I just need to pray really really hard so those embryoes make it till Saturday.
Today I am starting progesterone injections - 1cc injections into an ass area/lower back everyday.
June 24th - 2 DPO - Taking Doxycycline in AM and PM and Medrol in PM; Also 1cc of progesterone in olive oil and waiting patiently for my transfer day :)
June 25th - taking doxycycline, medrol and progesterone shot (last pills)
June 26th - progesterone injection - I have been spotting since retrieval but it looks like the spotting is going down - almost nothing there today :D YEY Hopefully it is completely gone by tomorrow
June 27th - Transfer day - we transferred two beautiful embryos and had 2 that were ready to be frozen. Dr said that the rest of 11 are just not ready but they will give it another day and see if any of them develops further. If they do they will get frozen. Bloodwork scheduled for July 6 :) Praying it comes positive.
July 3rd - 11 dpo - It turned out I got allergic reaction to progesterone in oil injections and was switched to Crinone 2x a day.
July 5th - 13dpo - HCG 144, Progesterone 20.8
Another bloodwork scheduled for July 7th - hopefully HCG doubles
Keep your fingers crossed !!!
