Cycle day 1--7th month ttc
This month I'm doing something totally crazy: ditching the OPKs.
I've reviewed my last cycles, and know the two weeks when I should ovulate sometime are. It fluctuates, depending on how long my cycle is going to be that month is. (I hate having such irregular cycles, UGH)
I'm trying to lower the stress. I'm walking on the treadmill 5 days a week to get exercise, eating a bit healthier, drinking more water, lowering caffeine, taking my prenatals, taking an extra folic acid supplement, and just in general trying to be a bit less neurotic. I'm still going to temp just so I get a better visual on my cycle, and we are still using the preseed because we really like it even just as lubricant.
I *might* go back to the acupuncturist after my period is over, as well. Not sure.
But aside from that? I'm going to try my hardest to just let things go the way they will and we will just do the deed as often as possible.
Since this is the last cycle we are giving ourselves before we go speak to a fertility specialist, my husband is even really getting in on the act. He's revamped his diet to a more fertility friendly one, and is even taking zinc supplements. I was really shocked. He's never gone this far before but he admitted that he's beginning to feel a touch or worry about this himself.
Now I just have to wait out old Auntie Flo here and we can get back to trying. I hope this is our month; having to see a fertility specialist is pretty much one of the last things we want to do.
