Question

Are my cycles considered irregular?

I used to have very regular cycles, in my teens and twenties. Every 28 days, every fourth Thursday evening around 7:00. Then two years ago, I had emergency surgery to have an endometrioma removed on my left ovary. Now...About half of my cycles are exactly 27 days, but the other half are shorter, around 24 days. I've had some as short as 22 days. Then last month I had a 30 day cycle! Are my cycles considered "irregular"? And what does this mean for my ttc journey? We've been trying for 9 months. I'm pretty sure I do ovulate, I'm usually able to get a positive opk around cd12-14. So confused and feeling hopeless. I don't know how some women do this for years on end!

Cycles are generally considered to be irregular when they are shorter than 21 days or longer than 35 days. Other factors that could make your cycle irregular are periods lasting longer than 7 days and having 3-4+ months between periods.

If your periods are between 22-30 days you're still having "regular" periods.
