Question

Fluctuating hcg levels, positive hpt, beta 7 then negative hpt

Hello ladies, here's my story. I had a very faint positive HPT on 11/29 I had the same very faint positive HPT on 11/30 even got a blood test on 11/30 and it came back with a beta of 7. on 12/1 I took another HPT and it came back negative. I didn't go for my second beta but my doctor wants me to now. Do you think it's possible that this could be a viable pregnancy?

It's possible, but I'm sorry to say that it's unlikely. Fluctuating HCG sounds like an indicator of an ectopic pregnancy.

I sincerely hope that is not the case. Please see your doctor again and have the second beta draw done. Hopefully the result proves me wrong. Good luck and hugs to you.
