Question

PLS HELP. Progesterone VERY high, yet doctor wants me to use progesterone pessaries

Natural conception - 4 previous unexplained early mcs

At 4+0 Wks, HCG 88, Progesterone 152ngol/l = 47.8 ng/ml

(During first trimester the level of progesterone is supposed to be around 9-47 ng/ml, with an average oscillating between 12-20 ng/ml.)

My specialist wants me use the progesterone pessaries, despite my body naturally producing so much already because of my mcs...but I am weary that there might be unintended consequences to doing this..( I am afraid of abnormalities etc)

Please advise from your experience...

Stop Progesterone - your doc is ill-advised in IMO (0 votes)
Continue - as nothing to worry if Prog is sky high (1 votes)
Continue - but I would be cautious too (0 votes)
Continue - but use a smaller dose than 400mg twice a day (0 votes)
Stop - as so little evidence of success of prog anyway (0 votes)

Tbh, I'd just do what the doctor says. He has a reason for this and if u dont take it and end up with another mc, u will blame urself for not following his orders. It's progesterone, its a good thing!!

From all of my research, there is no such thing as too much progesterone. Congrats!
