Question

How do opk test work?

I have used OPK test's for the last 2 cycles. When I get a positive result it stays positive for about 2 days (I know that once you get a positive result you are suppose to ovulate within the next 24-48 hrs). So when it finally turns negative again does that mean I have ovulated or that the LH surge is over? How exactly do these test work?

Usually when you get a negative again it means both that the surge is over and that you have likely ovulated (the only way to confirm ovulation is by doing BBTs too, but you probably ovulated). I usually counted the first negative test day as 1 dpo and started the "count" and TWW from that point. Good luck!
