Luteal Phase Defect Question

Does anyone have any information on this? My LP has been 11-12 on all of my past cycles. Today, I started spotting and I'm 10DPO. I know that the body can't usually hold onto a pregnancy if the LP is 10 days or less. I've mentioned this to my RE, and he said that he thought the Glumetza I'm taking for PCOS should take care of it. Obviously not. So I'd take any and all advice and what is usually done to correct this. Thanks!!

Hi, my doctor gives me progesterone suppliments that I take from 3dpo until 12 dpo. I guess different doctors do different things though. I do know that having a luteal phase defect can potentialy cause early miscarriage or issues with fertility, but they can be resolved. Different doctors will tell you different lengths that they consider to be a good luteal phase length and some doctors argue that there is no need for progesterone. Good Luck!
